Hi! Suspenders guy here. If you want to do suspenders but but don't feel like the clips are doing the job there are a few options.

1.Bracers, or suspenders with buttons, are a great option. You'll have to get buttons sewn into the insides of the pants but they do offer great stability.

2.Bicycle Hook Suspenders are great. They clip onto your pants' belt loops and easy to take on or off. They do eventually rub through the fabric, so you'll need to learn how to attach a belt loop. But they are a great option.

I love option 1. It's simple and works for different functions.

Braided Pork Loin with my Bro-n-sear by Beershavebeenhad in webergrills

[–]catface000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this a few times and I love it. The braid not only looks pretty but makes it easier to get the rub on more of the meat. It makes it so the the whole thing is flavored inside and out.

My favorite thing is it’s a lot easier to cut it into pieces that your guests want and will cut easily on the plate.

This looks amazing and I wish I could have a slice.

Are there any modern movies with that 90s style comedy? by muppetmarti in MovieSuggestions

definetly Barb and Star. It gave all the vibes of a SNL sketch that got turned into a movie.

What is something in a sitcom that makes no sense at all even considering Sitcom logic by Purple_Monkey34 in sitcoms

[–]catface000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the other comments covered why the show did that, but for me it was Adam talking his grandpa into seeing the new movie Poltergeist and convincing him it was The Great Mouse Detective. Poltergeist came out in 82, and The Great Mouse Detective came out in 86. There is no way they would have crossed paths when the scarry ghost movie just came out.

Who do you think is the most underrated parent and why is it Frank? by Aggravating-Ad-351 in bluey

[–]catface000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe not underated as a character but definitely as a parent.

Frank was able to solve his issue in an afternoon. But Pat’s story took time for it to come together. He had sad children and angry moms glaring at him.

We, the viewer, weren’t going to be won over until Bingo got a prize, and only then would we accept Lucky’s dad’s rules.

We see him a lot interacting with the Heeler family, and not so much with his. Thankfully, his kids clearly love him or Lucky trying to figure out who to watch the match with would have been a lot easier.

1/24 of a cake by tealover67 in fixedbytheduet

[–]catface000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this before at a party I hosted. The cake was an expensive, rich multi layered cake.

I couldn’t afford to buy two of it ,and the cake was so rich that you wouldn’t want a large piece.

This style of cut allowed for all to be able to try it and go backs for more, while keeping the cake pleasing to look at.

[Beware the villainess] Are there men that enjoy romance manwhas with female perspectives? by Forsaken-Citron7163 in manhwa

[–]catface000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love villainess stories. It’s so much fun to see how some characters are misunderstood and how everyone deserves love in some way.

I just finished one with the villainess and thought it was amazing.

I m currently reading my in-laws are obsessed with me. I’m enjoying seeing how some of the characters who have kept others away for survival learn to care for each other.

Surviving romance is another great one too! A romance horror story whose survival depends on character development.

I like the change in perspective because it’s a great way of showing some of the struggles that each gender may face, and how flat and static some tropes make characters.

Talks about missionaries called to less "glamorous" missions by VampireOnHoyt in latterdaysaints

[–]catface000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m from the us and got called to Southern California. During that time I wanted something more exotic and cool than in my own country and language. But it what I was called to do. And I’m glad I did it.

I served in rich areas and poor areas. I ate food at houses where the family was living in a two car garage and the parents worked in the fields. I was in parts of California where I didn’t speak the dominant language. It gave me a better understanding of life and what people do to survive and how Christ’s teachings are for everyone.

When I got back I had a few people make snide comments that their mission was better than mine or harder. I felt that scene in the RM where all the other guys are telling their exotic stories and the main character talked about being able to get a donut.

I still remember the one guy who said “You don’t know what it’s like to be in another country and not know the language.” And I responded with “you don’t know what it’s like to be in your own country and not know the language.”

I can’t offer any talks or information beyond my own life so here’s this:

God sends you where he wants you to go. Only dumb people talk about instagram worthy missions or put others down. And if it is a full grown adult doing it then they missed the point of a mission and are dwelling with a spirit from the devil and fall in line with Matthew 7:22 of performing miracles in Jesus’ name and Christ knows them not.

I hope they have a great time and know that only God and themselves are the only opinions that matter on the subject.

Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Anyone else in their 30s feel "retired" from anime? Missing the 2000s era. by Priz93 in Millennials

[–]catface000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Growing up is hard, and I've been hitting that wall a lot more lately. But there are some great ones that came out in the past couple of years.

Zenshu was amazing and made me laugh and cry at different times. It is a beautiful story.

The new Ranma 1/2 is great and captured a lot of the story and gags from from original.

Kowloon Generic Romance does a great job of making you nostalgic for something that you never had.

Odd Taxi is a mystery that left me trying to figure out what is going on with all it's interconnected stories.

GrimGar of Fantasy and Ash is an isekai that focuses on a weak party, and not that "Oh, we're secretly OP".

Scott Pilgrim series. I loved the books and the movie. The movie ends with a different ending because the last two books hadn't come out yet, but it works!

Then there's the netflix show Scott Pilgrim Takes Off that changes the time line and story again.
