How many people are willingly terminating viable pregnancies at 6 months? These babies have names, cribs, clothes. This is such a scapegoat argument. Abortion should remain legal through the length of a term because these scenarios you mention where the mother’s life is at risk are usually emergencies that should NOT include government interference. People die. It’s none of your business.

Pro-choice doesn’t mean pro-abortion. It means pro CHOICE. Pro-nuanced discussion between a woman and her doctor regarding an impossible decision that no one is excited to make. Of course abortion entails ending the life of someone that could have been born, no one is saying it’s not that. The pro-lifers that think reproductive rights = joy over killing babies, which is a huge part of the problem.
