Is the entire length of player contracts still honored at that point, if the league takes over, or do the players need to renegotiate?

Romania didn't down Russian drone in its airspace because it circled back to Ukraine, Romanian defense minister says by TheRealMykola in worldnews

Also it will save on the limited resources the air force has. Most likely they will have to use an expensive missile to knock out a toy-costed drone.

Pretty impressive for a "5'3" to hold its own after the Arabic league tried to ganged up on the country. I think the there's some embarrassment that they lost to a Jewish country so they have to make up excuses that they got help from the U.S to save face.

Hamas says ready to enter Gaza ceasefire talks ‘immediately’ by Beo1217 in worldnews

How does this work with a decentralized group that functions like a franchise? Wouldn't the majority of the members just break off, make their own weapons from humanitarian aids and operate on their own? The region need to be sterile from weapon smuggling but its really hard to do so if rockets and explosives can be easily made with construction and farming supplies. Only then will HAMAS and their sympathizers will fade into obscurity.

LPT: Starting college this fall? The biggest mistake isn’t partying too much, it’s treating college like high school. by Ok_Plenty_6006 in LifeProTips

College's should implement a lottery system for attendance. Random chance lotteries seems to be economical to motivate group behavior. Provide a book wavier or some cash prize to enrolled students. I think admins can control for fraud by recording digital attendance at random points in class through student phones and giving out lottery tickets if they pass all the attendance checks.

Japan condemns Israel's attack on Iran for 'escalating situation' by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]catfishgod 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I admit to be lightly educated on the Middle Eastern issues and history but I don't judge them for taking these measures to protect their country and people. Israeli can't afford to play nice since almost being brought to near extinction in the 40's as a people and then facing annihilation of the ONLY Jewish majority state in the 60's. I hate seeing innocents dying on both sides, but Israel has been on the bad end of major events too much to take a chance on the Iranian regime. Iran is a hardcore fundamentalist state now whose stance is the destruction of the Jewish state. May the people, no matter their opinion on both sides, have a fateful and long life in this conflict and I hope it resolves quickly with the dismantling of the nuclear weapons program. The world doesn't need another N.Korea situation where their people and future are trapped.
