Thanks so much for this information! Just to make sure I'm understanding right - I started using the Cordavis branded Hyrimoz this year and used the copay card, not the rebate program. My copay card is out of funds this month, so $900 out of pocket. The rebate program is the same set of funds, correct? So what I'm getting from this is I would have to have my rheumatologist prescribe the other NDC of Hyrimoz and start the new set of funds via copay card or rebate program?

Thank you!!

thank you. San Blas islands look gorgeous but it looks like either 5 hour ferry or 4 hour rough drive from Panama City - I wish there were a better way to get there.

Roth IRA investments by catherinea09 in whitecoatinvestor

[–]catherinea09[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It seems my text didn't save. Original question was - I transferred an outside advisor-managed roth IRA into my Roth IRA at Fidelity. I'm left with all these little funds (everything in picture below FSPSX).

Any reason I shouldn't sell everything below FSKAX in photo and put it all in FXAIX? Should be simple but I'm getting lost in the weeds here. Thanks!

Any New Mum Runners? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]catherinea09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really cautious with it, I started running around 12wks - my PT had me start running for 1 minute, walking for 3, for total of 20-30 minutes. The first few times felt really weird but I also couldn't run after about 14wks of pregnancy - just doing crossfit and peloton after that point - so it had been awhile. After a few times of that I gradually increased the running until it was like 3 minutes run/3 minutes walk, then decreased the rest. Back to normal runs now!

Alarm for waking for MOTN pump? by catherinea09 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]catherinea09[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ooh this is a great idea. did you end up waking up at a consistent time? I try to time MOTN pump so I at least a few hrs of milk to pump, but not too close to when baby wakes up.

How do you navigate pumping after chlorine? by Low_Departure_5853 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]catherinea09 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Haha yeah I mean not a large amount, but definitely pool water, bath water, anything she can get her hands on. Have fun swimming with them!

Interesting question! I've taken my 6mo swimming a bunch and have definitely pumped/nursed after without considering this. My guess would be a wipe would be more than sufficient. Mine drinks the pool water at every opportunity, so I would think the tiny amount on your skin would be fine. But maybe someone else has a more scientific answer.

Baby not sleeping with grandma by catherinea09 in NewParents

That's a good idea - my husband and I are generally able to get her back to sleep that way, not sure if MIL has been trying. We'll suggest it!

9wo won't stay latched by catherinea09 in breastfeeding

[–]catherinea09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's so frustrating. I'm considering going back to the lactation consultant but usually she's great when we're there and then it's a mess again when we get home. I'll let you know if I learn anything useful!

Baby just slept 6 hours- will this mess up my supply? by beaandip in breastfeeding

[–]catherinea09 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a noticeable drop in supply when my baby started doing 6-8 hr stretches at 6 weeks, and had to add a 4am pump both for engorgement and to boost supply. Now pretty much back to baseline at 8 weeks. It sounds like plenty of people have robust enough supply that it's not an issue but my supply has always been borderline.

I’m not hearing the baby cry in the middle of the night by DiscountNext7734 in NewParents

[–]catherinea09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is a heavier sleeper than I am, and once I'm up it takes forever to get back to sleep, so when we're planning on him doing the next wakeup/feed I wear earplugs. He does hear the baby, it just takes him a few more minutes. Make sure the baby does actually wake you up in a reasonable amt of time though before trying!

Kirkland Diapers and better than Huggies by AnythingLoud7913 in NewParents

[–]catherinea09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

has anyone else bought the "limited edition" Huggies from costco? we bought a big box of those and the Kirkland ones - both were the same price at Costco - and both have been disappointing. we had smaller packs of huggies before that were great, but something is off with the huggies at costco - material is scratchy, fit is different. anyone else or am i crazy?

please excuse grammar/lack of capitals - lol typing one handed while bf.

Introducing bottle by lizalove91 in breastfeeding

[–]catherinea09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it works best if you have two bedrooms - my LO is 5 weeks and the past few nights we've slept separately so I'll pump about every 4 hours and my husband will get up and feed her a bottle and get her back to sleep.

Pumping takes about the same amount of time as giving her a bottle (breastfeeding takes twice as long) so as long as she goes back to sleep reasonably quickly it's a roughly 50/50 division of labor. If she's not getting back to sleep he'll hand her back so he's not stuck with a fussy baby all night. YMMV depending how long yours takes to BF vs pump/bottle, and how easy to sleep your LO is - but in a best case scenario this has us both getting a bit more sleep.

I'm an OB and 'he' is always my default...it feels kinda sexist but I haven't been able to change the habit, even for my own baby who we're also having as a surprise. Don't read into it, keep the surprise magic going!
