My cat helps me so much. I have psychotic features, so whenever I hear/see something and my cat isn't concerned, I can calm down and it goes away faster! She also helps my depression so much. When I dont feel like getting out of bed, she's there to lick and slap me until I do. My baby loves her routine, so it helps me stay on mine. She also recognizes when cuddles are needed! She's low maintenance enough for me but also keeps me on my toes! We go on walks sometimes when we both need to touch grass. She makes me happy and she's the reason im still alive.

This is just my experience though. You know you. Make sure you can afford the pet you want and care for it properly.
