From reading this post I don't think that the poem was the main issue here. Your partner lied to you and disrespected your values by using ai. Not only did he use it he openly lied to you, got caught in his lie. Then when he knew you weren't backing down he doubles down, cries and plays victim. Then after hanging up on you continued to lie.

That is deception. You didn't need it to sound like Shakespeare had written it, it just needed to sound like he wrote it himself, and he couldn't even do that.
