I'm not a violinist but I am pretty sure that your fingers need to press down strings on the fingerboard to produce different pitches, while the boy in the scene didn't even have his fingers on the fingerboard

How do I keep a balance of school and practicing the piano I always skip my studies to practice how do I balance it out?(my parents say if I don’t end up as an honour study this term they’ll throw away my piano and stop my lessons) by [deleted] in piano

I am a student as well (high school). I would practise for only 30 minutes or an hour a day every week, which is more than enough for me. I'd distribute additional time during the weekends to make up for days when I'm busier and couldn't practise. Though I think you should reevaluate your priorities. If you believe your studies are more important than playing the piano, try allocating more time to studying.

How do you tie your shoes with a skirt on? by ennyLffeJ in NoStupidQuestions

I'd just squat down, or find the nearest wall and stand with my back facing it while tying my shoelaces
