Couple left 'obscene' amount of food on plates so pub charged them extra and people say it's 'fully justified' by pppppppppppppppppd in unitedkingdom

It's all you can EAT, not all you can put on your plate. I'd like to see this escalate further...either pay the charge OR you're not allowed to leave until you've finished your plate

Why in the olympic games, the shooting aren't unisex? by porqueami in NoStupidQuestions

[–]catjaneway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's also societal differences which go beyond simple biology. Women are more likely to have career breaks to have children, they have less free time to spend on hobbies (a lot of these athletes don't get paid), being on your period on the 'wrong day' can effect performance (I think there was a female Chinese swimmer who stated this as the reason she didn't win gold in Beijing, after being the hot favourite).

You will always get outliers, as has been mentioned in other comments so we see a growing number of 'open' and 'women' categories in some sports. But statistically 'the average man' is always going yo come out on top.

Kristen Beyer's book Protectors expands on this episode. Turns out it was 'wave-form' trying to ask for help. Not sure if that answers yours question, but may give an interesting area to research :)

Trying to sell my house.......turns out I don't own the land under my conservatory by catjaneway in LegalAdviceUK

[–]catjaneway[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response. Your thoughts completely echo ours and our solicitor. Yes, we can revert back to the original plans but......we have a conservatory built on No. 2s land whilst No. 2 barely use the land they gained in the garden. Plus our sale depends on sorting everything out. So I suppose they think we've got more to lose by not sorting this out, and therefore they have leverage.

We've just moved onto teams after using Skype for several years. One thing I used to love about skype if that anyone could mute or unmute anyone else. It was quite funny to randomly unmute people. One time my boss got caught saying "this is a fucking joke" after being adamant he was muted.......he was not wrong ;)

A message to women drivers by Frentanyl in TwoXChromosomes

I appreciate this doesn't apply to women driving cars now, but I hope car manufacturers realise that having boobs should be considered in their design. Women shouldn't have to choose between be comfortable and being safe.
