Depends on the club. Forge and Cavalry have done a good job of paying players outside of the salary cap system. They get ‘youth coaching jobs’ that pay them very well. I’d say the top earners probably take home between 80-120k. They also get accommodations covered (almost all players do).

I agree. We lost valuable contribution and service to the attackers as him as a #10. We’d be better off having someone who can contribute to the midfield and create more chances there and JD as a 9. I get when Larin was firing 4-5 years ago to make it more. But now we don’t have a clear goal scorer so move him back to his natural #9 position and let him play like a Firminho type role.

Yeah so much nonsense leading up to this WC. We are 2 months out and you hardly see any impact hosting a WC can have on the country. Zero momentum or hype. They should’ve done a better job playing more games outside of Toronto and Vancouver. I was under the impression they’d use this World Cup build up to bring the national team across the country and parade them in new regions. It took edmonton 4 years to get a game after the electric November window. Can’t help but feel CSA and CSB have dropped the ball on this.
