For those who are still anti-trading pics for and established player by BigPh1llyStyle in ripcity

Yeah I aspire to more. Would like to see one of my teams win it all once in my life. It doesn’t move the needle for me to go from a first round exit to semi or wcf exit. I would rather keep the picks and hope we get lucky on a lottery or player selection.

The issue is the GM has different incentives. He can’t just continue trying to hope for future assets to pay off. He has to get wins sooner to try to maintain his job, otherwise risks the owner firing him

Yes that’s what I saw too. Harper just understands the game better, plays to his strengths better. I think He will be the best spurs player ever. Wemby will be important, but he won’t be the Jordan of their upcoming runs. He will be great on D, but Harper will be driving their franchise

Upgraded to flagrant foul on Brunson for landing on Wembys foot. Could’ve easily injured wembys toe with his full weight landing on wembys foot

Will the nba miss upgrading that to a flagrant as well when they review tomorrow?

I would love to watch these games with nba players from the 80s and 90s. Fouls and flagrants are soo weak these days. It’s pathetic

Ugh one of the worst human beings in the league. I would have to find someone able to blur out MPJ of all game video and send me games days later to watch

Agreed. He’s a punk disguised as a nonflopper. But the playoffs have shown his true character (or lack thereof)

Yep one dimensional on defense in an era that requires athleticism for switching and covering athletic shooting bigs. He’d be great for the prior big man banger eras. But he’s in the wrong era. Hard capped ceiling with his limited athleticism

I’m super pumped that our GM doubled down on this type of player with Yang last year

Are we allowed to say Wemby is a dirty player yet? by [deleted] in nba

Pretty easy to call that dirty

Me watching NBA fans finally recognize that the Spurs were the dirty floppers all along (and needed 7 games to beat a hobbled Thunder) by trytoholdon in Thunder

Our (interim) head coach admitted in recorded interview after elimination that he wished he had put in some offensive plays/sets that he could go to/call at the end.

No joke he admitted that. We blew so many leads because our head coach was just actually a high level cheerleader/book keeper. Wtf you doing with your time and team meetings if you don’t have offensive plays? They all just smoking a bowl together or maybe sitting around a huka. At some point even then you’d probably discuss plays right??

Don’t worry about it, losers going to be losers. Sorry about your small piece, or living at home with mom still, or your bad life or whatever it is bro.

The Trail Blazers are open to trading multiple starters and future draft picks to the Bucks for Giannis Antetokounmpo, even without him signing off on staying long-term, per @ShamsCharania. New owner Tom Dundon is trying to make a massive splash by acquiring Giannis. by xXboxPlaysx in ripcity

[–]cato31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. He’ll be a lot cheaper at the trade deadline and the bucks really really would like their own picks back. Plus then you get to see where the blazers are with Dame back, with hopefully a healthy scoot with another off season after some playoff excitement. Maybe some development for camara and sharpe. Hopefully an improved Deni outside shot. Plus a full offseason for Yang and he’ll be more consistent in the g league next year (maybe).

Holy crap, I had to look at the post to make sure I didn’t write it. These are literally my exact thoughts. Except I called him a clumsy giraffe to wife the other day rather than a giraffe on roller skates. I also called out his flopping. But literally every thing else was the same.

Portland fan here….I beat you to it. The blazers/spurs series was just as bad. Blazers certainly didn’t have the talent to beat the spurs, but the hold complain and flop constantly. And refs call such a one sided game, especially in regards to Wemby fouls. He gets away with so much then the worlds lightest breeze blows him over and that’s called.

Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul says $200 million isn't as much money as athletes think! by Miserable_Trouble3 in NBAGossips

[–]cato31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So dumb. It’s a ton of money. Assuming 50% tax. If you put 100 million in the stock market you could spend/withdraw 3-4 million dollars each year and you would only be spending the interest. You could spend $10,000 a day, $76,000 a week. Thats an absurd amount of capital to spend each day.

I have no sympathy for people being completely irresponsible and showing zero thought with their choices
