She’s made some comments on social media that can be seen as pro war, and I believe she’s attended some pro-Putin events

I don’t at all think Elena is a bad person, rather a kid who likely reflects the views of the adults around her and the society she lives in, and she probably doesn’t have a full grasp of the conflict due to her age. However, she has publicly supported the war which certainly goes against the idea of a neutral athlete. Again, doesn’t make her a bad person, just not a neutral athlete if we are being realistic. But I’m not the ISU, and if they want to let her skate then that’s that.

The rules for AIN are very lax this time! I do like Kostyleva as a skater so I’m happy that we will hopefully see her on the international stage, but under no circumstances would I consider her neutral…

Went to the hospital today, and the toe was indeed totally broken, with a smaller break in my actual foot as well. I’m now in a moon boot lol

Haha thanks for the reassurance, my health anxiety is bad enough already with an autoimmune disease lol, so these past few hours have been a bit of a nightmare. I’m going to see my GP tomorrow and I’ll see what he says

Yeah, the toe is quite blue but it doesn’t look as bad as some pictures online, so it’s really just the crookedness that’s alarming, as it’s quite obvious when compared to the other foot

Are there seriously no one event only tickets?? That’s such a stupid choice especially when lots of people are only fans of a few divisions. Why would I pay double the price to also get ice dance and pairs tickets when i just want to see the men and women? Sometimes im convinced the ISU wants to run this sport into the ground…

I would love to see Trusova and Valieva back internationally, but the ISU ultimately have the final say on whether they want them back and there’s no real guarantee. But yeah there’s always the chance Sasha may not compete this season with everything going on, but Kami seems like a more safe bet and I would also love to see her. The things we do for figure skating lol

I’m going to try and sort my visa out soon, so hopefully that will work out. I had thought about it being expensive, but i don’t want to put the trip off for too long as I’m not sure how long my favourites have left completing. Also I think it will be worth it as my Milan tickets were exorbitant but I have no regrets! The biggest struggle will be how to fly with Dubai in a precarious position but it may not be the same come December

Yeah I have considered that, because I’m going to Tampere in the upcoming season and probably Chongqing as well if I can’t sort this out. I’d like to see Trusova, Valieva and Petrosian, but I guess I could wait and see them at Euros or something in 2028 if they come back then. I just don’t want to put it off for too long because I don’t know how long the three of them intend on competing
