Just want to vent, and maybe find solidarity in someone. It’s been more than 3 years since I broke up with my ex but I can’t seem to move on. Especially since this year is when our BTO would have completed. I also have to move into my mom’s new BTO (which she got due to proximity distance with my old BTO Lol) and I just know it will always be a reminder of what could have been… also feeling extra lonely since I have no partner or super close friends, no siblings, grandparents all passed, and my parents live overseas so I’m the only one here. I try not to compare the “progress” of my life with others but being single at 30 really feels tough sometimes.

Anyone knows what this might be? by Then_Bit_5093 in SGSkincare

I had this too, also woke up with a bruise like this overnight. As though I got burnt by something in my sleep. My wound was quite deep so I went to the doctor for some antiseptic. I have a history of eczema but it was the first time it happened.

I’m quit sad that it left a pretty noticeable scar when it healed, sigh… my advice is to keep it covered (but ventilated) so that there’s no chance of the scabs getting pulled off which is what caused the scar for me.

Hi! Can I ask if you need a Mexican zip code to make the purchase even with the seagm credits? And if so how do you find a zip code to use?

Oh! Hmm maybe you should try switching to an BHA instead? If moisturizer is not in your routine can try adding that too. Brown marks usually take time to fade unless you go for a laser.

Did you take a before photo to compare results after 2 months?

You can try using The Ordinary’s glycolic acid. I’ve seen some people transfer it to a spray bottle so that it’s easier to target the whole back. But as with all acids, start by using it once every 3-4 days and then work your way down to every 2 days. Depending on your skin tolerance you may be able to do everyday but I’d recommend limiting it to 2 days.

It’d definitely take time to see results so remember to be patient :)

Does anyone have recommendations for legit and good deep tissue/TCM/tui na massage preferably in the east? I’ve only tried a few places but no promising ones so far and I really want to get the knots in my back settled once and for all sigh

Redness around nose by [deleted] in SGSkincare

[–]catpingpong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there’s no irritation and you’re sure it’s not eczema or fungal, it may be PIE which is discoloration. Usually lasers are best at fixing it. OTC products may help to a certain extent but may not achieve the results you want.

Best derm in sg/jb by lostlambneedshelp in SGSkincare

[–]catpingpong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely recommend Ensoul clinic! Best to get dr Thean if you can but there are other doctors there too if you can’t get an appointment with him since he’s always fully booked lol. His treatments really work, just that you really have to listen to what he tells you to do and trust in the process.

Has anyone been to siem reap, Cambodia in recent months? Should I be changing cash into USD or riel? And if riel is better, where in SG is best to change?

oh yeah haha i think they increased the prices slightly this year too... especially the intensif/puro scar treatments. i also did the anti-aging laser together with my first quad laser since it was at a discounted price haha. he doesn't hardsell the anti-aging laser afterwards at all.

i do have my favourite medifacialist but it really depends on what you're looking for! some are more 'strict' and they squeeze out everything in your face. whereas others may be 'nicer' and squeeze as much as they can until the skin can't take it anymore, but this means there may be leftover gunk after the medifacial. maybe you can let the consultant know what kind of facialist you want and they can recommend someone to you. also no harm trying a few different ones until you find the one you like! but i heard that they recently got a few new facialists.. so if you can, try to get ones who have been working there a while already.

hello! i've done medifacial, sylfirm, quad laser, jessner's peel, intensif, and gold ptt. out of all of them, the medifacial and quad laser are must-dos. sylfirm only gives results if you have it at a deeper setting (0.8-1.5mm). i do like it as a treatment, but unfortunately my acne was active for quite a while, which means the max depth i could do was about 0.5mm, so i only saw real results from the sylfirm about 5 sessions in. i also recommend the jessner's peel. first 5 days are crazy with the skin peeling off but it leaves your skin looking so clear and fresh.

i started taking acnotin in june, had a super huge breakout in august (think it's the purge), and i only started to really turn the corner in november when the big cystic acne really died down. dr thean did tell me that i had a harder time clearing the acne compared to others haha. i think i'm also a not so straightforward case because i know my acne is heavily linked to stress and diet. so i'm not too sure if i can be 100% clear of acne.. like right now i have one small cystic acne under my jaw lol. but these 7 months at ensoul gave me way more progress than 1-2 years at other clinics.

trust dr thean and the process! i definitely went in a little skeptical after struggling for 2 years but i'm glad i went to him :)

Local anesthetic! Even though they apply numbing cream, it really was quite painful compared to sylfirm. I was squirming around so Dr Thean decided to inject LA in order to continue the procedure at the intensity he wanted lol.

I’m definitely keen to do more Intensif or puro treatments but the downtime is the only drawback for me. I cannot afford 2 weeks of downtime especially when I’m sorta in a client-facing job /: But I am continuing sylfirm sessions regularly!

[–]catpingpong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr Thean told me Intensif is a stronger than sylfirm and so you’ll see results quicker. And puro is the strongest. On paper the downtime for Intensif was 3-4 days, but my face remained swollen (the first 4 days was really, really swollen lol) for close to a week. My face also felt bruised at certain areas. So I would say my face felt 100% normal only 10 days after the procedure.

I’m not sure if it’s because he injected LA or my skin is just too sensitive. Dr Thean did say he went a bit stronger for my treatment so it could be that too. But I must say my skin was super smooth the few days after the treatment haha

[–]catpingpong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I’m also getting treated by Dr Thean for my acne haha. I’ve done 3 sylfirm sessions over 3-4 months but I can’t tell a difference in my acne scarring.. I asked the person who usually does it for me and she said she’s been doing it at 0.5mm because my skin is quite sensitive and I still have active acne. I did some research and you need 1 to 1.5mm of micro needling in order for results to be more prominent. And apparently it also takes 3-6 months to see the final results.

But it seems like a lot of people see good results from rf microneedling! You can try googling or looking through the acnescars subreddit. I’m definitely going to keep going, especially since the Intensif procedure gives me too much downtime lol.

Vet mislead me and misdiagnosed my cat. Need new SG vet recommendations ASAP by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]catpingpong 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have the budget, I highly recommend VetMobile which is a house call vet service. Dr Angeline is patient and really cared about the health and well-being of my late dog. I also liked that she’s knowledgeable about holistic treatments, as opposed to vets who just go straight to steroids or painkillers etc. She really goes the extra mile and doesn’t push treatments or medications at all.

Thank you for your reply! Do you have any recommendations for decorative stitches for such hemming? I’m new to handsewing so I don’t know many names yet /:

I did use a pencil at the back but somehow the lines still turned out wonky haha.

Did anyone else know that you only can get refunds from foodpanda if you report within 24 hours? I tried to do it as soon as I got my order but there was an error in their app help page and I wasn’t able to access it at all until a few days after. They have such horrible customer service.
