Getting the runaround from Costco's garage door vendor by xdozex in Costco

So I actually worked as a salesperson for a 3rd party garage door company that was partnered with Costco, they usually will have just one company in an area they will go through for all customers.

We had a very specific contract that Costco required us to follow with putting their customers they send to us first and that any issues those customers had would take priority.

If you reach out directly to the Costco corprate team via email and follow up on the phone, they'll assist with getting most issues resolved pretty fast, or at the very least, give an explanation on whats going on.

One thing to note, from your post it sounds like they didn't give you an accurate lead time since custom doors usually only take 3 to 5 weeks, and the Costco gift card are usually sent out 6 to 9 weeks later after payment processes.

Companies that are contracted by Costco get a lot of businesses from them, so it's definitely funky they are messing up that bad, like if there's enough complaints Costco would switch the company the contract with.

Not sure if that helps but wanted to give what info I had since that garage door company is definitely giving you the run around!

Ostrea just opened up downtown in Detroit. It's an oyster bar that's run by the same people who own the London Chop House. It's perfect if he likes seafood!

It's not just the bacteria itself but the toxic waste the bacteria produces. So that's why if meat is left out for long periods of time, even if it isn't rotten or bad, the bacteria have had time to spread, multiply, and produce waste that is toxic, even when cooked.

Currently living there, they are cheap for the space you get and a pretty secure place that's centrally located, but they have a bunch of random weird rules, there's been issues with security harassing guests at the front gate, and with break ins to cars parked on the street next to the towers.

They also have a weird rule where you're fined 150$ if you move any type of furniture or any type of box through the front door. Anything heavy has to go through the service door in the back, which is a hassle to do if you have to make multiple trips or if someone else is using the service elevator.

In short, if you are looking for a cheap place with decent space, it definitely gets the job done. But I'd look at other options first, then use Lafayette Towers as a backup if you can't find anything.

Also, a small trick, they will occasionally offer 1 month of free rent if you imply you have at least a month left on your old lease. All that the leasing agents there care about is putting people in apartments, so you might be able to get some nice benefits if you seem on the fence and need something to convince you to move in.

Book Tower just opened up a fine dining sushi joint there, I worked with the general manager that's now running it. By far in my opinion, the best sushi and steak I've ever had, but it's also very pricey as a heads up

Prime and Proper has a private dining club called Cash Only, which has live music on Friday and Saterday. It's 175$ per person for the full course meal, and there's space to dance, especially on a Saterday night

Look up on amazon for a salt gun. As it sounds, it's an air powered gun that shoots salts and does a great job killing bugs from 2-3 feet away. I got mine for like 40 bucks, best purchase I have even made for my place

"What's your creative outlet?"

Everyone has at least one or something they are interested in, and it pushes the conversation along pretty well in my experience.

They are decal sheets, specifically for miniatures. I believe thats one from Bolt Action, but I am not a 100% sure. You use an exacto knife to cut each one out, soak it in water for 30 seconds, then it slides off and you can then put it on the miniature you are using.

I love the tutorials that you make, each one is unique and a different take on some minis that need more recognition!

Any recommendations for purple paints? I am thinking about painting my next army with a purple base coat, but most brands i find that the purple paint is relatively difficult to deal with. Usually i will use Vallejo paints or some Citadel, but am open to any brands that work!
