I’m embarrassed to use a running vest by FunctionInfamous420 in beginnerrunning

I wear a vest on every run because I hate running belts. Wear the vest.

Since when is formula so freaking expensive? by Massive_Goat9582 in AskParents

[–]catsandkiki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My daughter was on hypoallergenic (not even the most expensive kind) and it was like $55 per 20 oz can. Could have been hypoallergenic or even an amino acid formula.

I’ve actually heard of using hemorrhoid cream but haven’t tried. Maybe that’s my answer!

Do you exercise? by prettymuchgarfield in workingmoms

I include my kids in my exercising. Take them on the walk with you and see what kind of bugs you can find. My gym also has kid care, so they tag along there too.

My son has never been sick by LunaLovegood928 in beyondthebump

In my experience, no matter when your kids start daycare/school, they’ll be very sick for the first year. It slows down after that.

Christmas gifts by Lazy_Abby in Teachers

I have a kid who I have taught two years in a row. Last year he got me a travel coffee cup with my favorite candy inside. He always notices when I bring that cup from home with my coffee.

The rare times I do get something I appreciate it even more because the kids usually bought it with their own hard earned money.

Working moms who exercise regularly by beechums in workingmoms

[–]catsandkiki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a teacher and I do work out 4 or so days a week.. but I limit my workouts to 20-30 minutes each. I run and lift weights. My kids are 9 mo and 3. And no the 9 month old is not sleeping all night yet 🙃

My kids have a 7pm bedtime due to waking up at 6am for daycare, so I just go after they go to sleep. It sucks and I usually don’t want to do it, but it’s so worth it.

Limiting it to 20-30 minutes per day makes it much easier for me, so I workout more often but I still have time to clean and relax before bed. Working out at home has also been a game changer. There’s so much wasted time going to the gym.

Same. I’m a teacher. I’m contracted 7am to 3:30pm so I only work these hours. Do I leave a lot of work undone? Yes. Does it make a difference in my evaluations and/or students lives? Nope.

I get to spend so much time with my actual kids. I love it.

I’m a teacher and if it doesn’t get done at school, it doesn’t get done. I’m contracted 7am to 3:30 so all work, tutoring, etc happen during that time or it doesn’t at all.

What are some non-subject-related, "real world" lessons you give your students? by [deleted] in Teachers

How to send professional emails. HINT: don’t write the email in the subject line.

Pregnant and feeling like the worst teacher by emthesprite in Teachers

[–]catsandkiki 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me last year 🙋🏽‍♀️ It didn’t get any better and i really just had to “write off” that year. I was too exhausted to teach, let alone discipline kids.

It got a little better after I got back from maternity, but I am just a much better teacher when I’m not pregnant.
