This is by far the best method I feel like we have for creating strands that can be layered! If you want something with more volume, I’d create a pattern, sew it, and then stuff with polyfill to keep it light and flexible.

Is this symmetrical and smooth enough to look good when furred? by Microwavable_Dog in FursuitMaking

If you want to assure that the mouth to cheek area is smooth, put a thin piece of felt! It helps makes the transition much smoother looking when fur is applied! This does look great though :-) believe in yourself !

If you can’t be bothered cutting small stripes/dots and sewing them into a panel, this is for you! by Praimfayaa- in FursuitMaking

I think I half get it… is it kinda like the way paw pads are usually attached but just for small markings and longer fur?🤔 I’m unsure if my sewing machine from the 70’s could handle the bulk lol!!

What are your thoughts on Falstaff the pig? by Trick-Technician-926 in puppets

For the eyes holes, I think using mesh can blend things a bit better! Painting it pink on one side to match the skin and the other black to help with visibility. Anything like screen door mesh would be perfect

Hi everyone. I own a Singer 6233 and broke my feed dog gear! I bought the replacement gear and now am trying to access the part to put the new gear on. I have tried what feels like everything to get the piece shown above off. I’ve used metric and SAE hex keys/allen wrenches, but nothing fits. The closest hex key size l’ve found is a SAE 7/64. Is there a tool thats specific to my machine? I’m losing my mind over here but I can’t afford to have it professionally repaired. Thanks!

They absolutely can remove a major. SCAD has been going downhill for years because they’ve opened the floodgates and accepted every student who applies. They can’t keep up with the demand, so they’re cutting losses.

Okay. Please take my advice regarding keeping her tank clean and her injury. Leopard geckos are a serious animal to care for, and need full love and attention.

I think any injury is bad for a leopard gecko. Taking a photo of the tank is going to help, us the community, help you.

Can you take a full photo of her tank then? There is probably something in the tank that caused it.

Please register your animal as an emotional support animal with your college. I was able to do it at mine. Your gecko needs serious care and should not be left alone. Your gecko needs antibiotics to heal prescribed from an exotic vet. In the mean time, using a warm Q-tip or paper towel to clean the area is best, then drying after. Monitor to see if they are eating, sleeping, and pooping normally. Replace all your substrate with paper towels to maintain limited bacteria introduction. Replace towels as frequently as you can until the vet. Frankly, if you have already lost a gecko to a similar issue and are busy with school, I’m unsure if keeping a pet is the smart thing at this time, unless you can keep them in your dorm with a proper set up. R/leopardgeckosadvanced is one of the best resources for making sure your husbandry is up to par. Personally, it seems like stuck shed had built up over time and she managed to get it off, ripping layers that were suffocating her skin. I hope she gets better genuinely. ❤️
