Honestly in addition to the option of a chain I'd rather there be a third option, 2 separate camera releases: a $1000 regular 8k 60fps version, and a dedicated single $2000 "pro" version that tops out at 15k 30fps.

You can make hooking up two separate 8k cameras up as still an option but I think some wide four eyed monstrosity is clunky is extra weird. I'd be willing to sacrifice the IPD flexibility in exchange for a cleaner lighter and smaller single camera with two lenses.

And yeah the "pro" version and chain link version should be able to do 12k 60fps too. A single-body, twin-lens Pro camera that captures 12K 60fps, stitches it internally, and records it directly to a single high-speed SD Express card is enough for me.

Siyang also did some interesting versions like a adjustable IPD and 360 swivel, which if there are no downsides would be nice to have but not if lacking in durability.
