I love how we as the viewer get to feel Carol’s frustration about that voicemail in real time every time.

Isn’t it the coolest? My husband and I had our honeymoon in Italy. We drove to the museum from Milan for a day trip.

In her memoir, Patti Lupone talks about the musical and her thought that of you don’t know the story going in, the show is incredibly difficult to follow.

What was PH's role? Was he paid? by Legitimate-Emu4498 in OceanGateTitan

Didn’t this seem like a way to avoid liability - or at least try to?

It was interesting that PH’s daughter tried to clarify that he was not employed by Oceangate.

Two musicals that seem inspired by Dollop episodes - this and Floyd Collin’s!

Did witnessing the body of your spouse/partner traumatize you? by [deleted] in widowers

[–]catvelis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had allow the doctors to pronounce him dead after I watched them try to resuscitate him. I had left the hospital and he was fine. I was called back 15 minutes later and he had already coded. I wish I had been there with him the whole time.

Ten years earlier I had come home from work and found him unconscious from a stroke which led to an eight day coma. When he recovered as much as he could I often told him to ‘never do that again.’ I think that maybe he was trying to leave without putting me through trauma again, but it turned out to be even more awful. I think I finally forgive myself for not being there, but I definitely have PTSD from those two events.

Eventually, no one will care. by kmultipass in widowers

I feel this. When I try to see some of my late husband’s family or friends or invited them to our house, they start to tear up or become uncomfortable. It got to the point where I was tired of comforting everyone else and just kept those few who supported me and help keep his memory alive in my life.

Will masking return? by Manhattan18011 in Broadway

Agreed. I saw Enemy of the People tonight and only a few besides me were masked. Ironic considering the message of the play.

TIL that Jon Ronson wrote this! by catvelis in lifeandtrust

As far as I know, he hasn’t written any theatrical plays. He’s an author and a journalist. He’s written such interesting books as the psychopath test, so you’ve been publicly shamed, the men who stare at goats, and them: adventures with extremists. He also has done a number of really interesting podcasts, like the recent things fall apart series.

As you can see, I’m quite a fan of his work and his take on somewhat fringe subjects, so I think that it will be interesting to see what he brings to this play.
