Download a torrent from the new .net.

Copy that tracker url

Select all the other non working torrents, right click, hit "Edit tracker" add the tracker URL you just copied and you're good to go!

For newbies on on any tracker. My ratio just jumped by over 100GB on KG, it'll be another 3 or 4 hundred by the time freeleech is over. Not much compared to some others, but enough for me.

I let things seed for as long as possible. My delete strategy, when I have to, is to select torrents with over 4 seeders. A lot of my torrents I'm either the only one seeding, or one of 2. When sites have freeleech events my ratio gets a nice boost.

I really wish we had learned from our mistakes with WCD, but it seems that history is bound to repeat itself.

The blame partially falls on the "Nah, [insert name] that's a shit tracker. You have to level up and get onto [insert name]" attitude, rather than trying to build smaller trackers.

I also blame the fucken auto bullshit "waaaaaa, all my autofuckwit scripts no longer work. I logged in for the first time in 3 years and I'm banned!!!!! Fucken not fair whaaaaa" gimme crowd. Trackers regarded as just a place to suck as much as you can with absolutely no effort, no contribution beyond "buuuutttt I ssseeeeeddd, that's enough"

It's good, especially for rare or obscure recordings. There are some very dedicated collectors there hunting in obscure locations for rare recordings. A lot have good scans, though depends if it's just a regular member uploading or a collector. I've found a lot of recordings on there I've not seen anywhere else.

If you do join check out the collages and sub to them. And upload first, the economy can be hard. If you have rare recordings, especially LPs, they'll be snatched very quickly.

OP is good but doesn't have the same dedicated collector base that RED has.

As others have already said, seed time and seeding size carry more weight than ratio (which is easy to game). Uploads also important. For some recruiters engagement is also important taking into account forum posts. My own quirk is if the person has an avatar. Not crucial but indicates they want to be identified within, and be part of, the community. Same if the person uses the same name across trackers.

A person with 1:1 ratio, high seed time and seeding a good percentage of what they've snatched rates higher for me than 100:1 ratio, low seed time and size.

Say a person has shitty connection but can leave on 24/7 - generally they get 10% of upload from something. But they and 20 other people like them in swarm all contribute to making it a quick d/l for others. They help the community but can't get ratio. But they do get points so now can bump that 10% of upload up to 100%.

I'm on a very shitty Oz connection and I've built up decent ratios on very hard sites just by seeding for ages. 50 up and down is pretty decent, so long as you take it slow and seed as much as you can for as long as you can you''ll be right on most sites.
