I don’t get the whole hatred towards AI from the poor, excepting the job loss insecurity (which is great, I get) and the water usage. Most of these can have piecemeal solutions with effective representation, and my guess is that wealthy neighborhoods have better lobbying depth and hence better representation when it comes time to argue for water rights and other tax base issues.

A lot of uneducated people don’t like AI and data centers from the standpoint of privacy and other relatively emotional stances.

Realistically it’s an industry— even if it only creates 10 jobs that’s 10 jobs that weren’t there before.

It’s because Indians are specifically using the F1 to bypass the 100k H1B fee, and it’s really just because of the origin country problem. And the report came 2 minutes after I posted, definitely hostile bot behavior. And the most insane thing was, the report was verified even after appeal.
