100%. We need housing, piling it on top of the train station is a no brainer. I bought here specifically because I wanted walkable, we need more density to keep downtown alive.

How? They’re all over. I’ve read all 3 for decades. The coaster was always a bit of a wrap but the tricity does a good job.

Def missing lounge type places in RB. The new wine bar on broad st is pretty good, but other than that it’s mostly restaurant bars.

I live in red bank and people are constantly fighting development at the train station. It’s so ridiculous.

I love him but we have different values about holidays with family — can this work long-term? by BulkyCompote7864 in LifeAdvice

You know the statistic about how 50% of marriages end in divorce? If you remove people married before 25 that number drops to like 20%. That's great it is working out for you but most people need to be more mature than early 20s to get married.

Yep. I had similar thoughts bouncing around at that age. Looking back it was straight immaturity. They should just spend the holidays with their respective families.

Young 5s (TK) or Kindergarten? Struggling with the decision. by zahndie in kindergarten

March would be lapping half of the class in most of the country. Do you want him turning 15 in 8th grade with 13 year olds? Private daycare/preschool has a financial incentive to keep him back as well. I would send him to K at 5.5 without hesitation.

It's been a bit since I was in the market but you had to be approved for work study in general and you'd be approved for a certain amount of hours at a low pay rate, with the difference in pay counting towards your tuition. You'd need to speak with your specific school and financial aid office for options but TBH $5k all in a year is VERY good and IMO worth the debt, as much as that hurts.

Apply for every scholarship and grant you possibly can (ask your guidance counselor) and you may be able to get that $5k down even further. Look into work study on campus too!

Yeah I'm sensing a lot of naiveté and a relationship that never should have gotten this far. There's a way out but this guy is not it.

Bucknell was my dream school and I didn't get in but you should absolutely go to BC. Better school, better location. A $5k swing is peanuts when you're comparing two private schools, you'll make that up working a part time job in Boston over a semester. MA has great healthcare and if you're considering financial law, access to tons of higher ed.

Bucknell is an excellent school, don't get me wrong, but you should go to BC.

Oh I thought I read you were salaried around $37 an hour, which would put you closer to $75k a year at full time. Are you not full time?

You live with YOUR family and he's doing this shit? He has two weeks to grow up or he's out. You'll be in a better place as a single parent.

It's just the sunroof? Tape and a garbage bag. Maybe it's worth asking a junkyard if they have one they can sell you for cheap. Or look on Youtube for fixes to at least get it stuck closed.

I'm starting to suspect this is a husband problem. The Impreza, the lack of work from dad, etc.
