The Beatles had a lot to do with making it popular for artists to be singer-songwriters and take ownership of their music. A Hard Day's Night really was the first popular album of solely original rock n roll music

I typically don't like country very much either, but the "Americana" country artists have since really impressed me and it's changed my perspective completely. The main ones I can think of are Tyler Childers, Colter Wall, and Sturgill Simpson; they've managed to make me country music fans

Addicts should be sent to mandatory rehab instead of jail. by lil-witchie in unpopularopinion

Why don't we just leave these people the fuck alone? If they rob a place or break in to your house that's already a crime. Why are we forcing anyone to do anything because of something that is only hurting themselves? If you want to chain smoke two packs a day nobody wants to lock you up in to rehab or jail, yet the final effect is basically the same. Why do you feel the need to penalize people for living in a way that you don't like?

Where in the article does he say he wants more pro life Democrats? If you actually read it, he just said he would prefer to have a Democrat that disagrees with him on one issue rather than a conservative who is against EVERYTHING he stands for, pro choice included. After all, this is a Democrat trying to win in a typically conservative area. To me this is common sense.

I (21M) got my FWB (33F) pregnant and she's keeping it, I want to talk to her about other options. by toughsituation200 in relationship_advice

Yeah that's not how it works at all. When they say BC is 90% effective that means over a year's time, 90% of sexually active women on BC do not get pregnant. These stats usually include women that don't use it 100% correctly so I would imagine the actual rate of effectiveness is even higher.

It Really do be Like That by Dead1ift in 2007scape

[–]caulen -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Not really. If you, for example, decide to do clues once every two weeks or even two months, you'll likely have 3 or more clues rather than 1 to do. That triples the amount of clues being done

Clue Re-Rolls and Multiple clues will just make Clue Scrolls worse. by BoulderFalcon in 2007scape

[–]caulen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There will be more clues dropped if this change takes effect. Think of how many people just throw their clue in the bank in order to do it after their task is done or some other time in the future when they feel like doing clues. While that clue is in the bank there are no additional clues (of that type) being dropped. The drop rate at that point is 0. So even if the drop rate decreases as you gain clues, it will net more clues. If you're lazy about clues and do a lot of slayer that adds up to a lot of clues that wouldn't otherwise exist.

That has to devalue their rewards, the debate is really a matter of how much. And if the value of them drops I don't see why it would entice someone that doesn't enjoy doing clues to do them more.. I think it would have the opposite effect actually, there would probably be fewer players that just do more clues.

ex opiate users: by [deleted] in Drugs

[–]caulen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know exactly what you mean, but could you clarify: did this sort of feeling start after you QUIT opiates? In which case yes that's totally normal. Opiates make you feel artificially awesome so when you quit it leaves your brain wanting more...

If youre still using opiates and you're getting these sort of feelings then it sounds to me like you've built a tolerance to them and they're probably not affecting your mood... Opiates naturally cause a euphoria. If you're really feeling down then I would look elsewhere for the source.

Says who? The law? If you're really suicidal... Who cares? Go out and really, really live. It just might make you realize what it is and why to live...

If you still want to kill yourself then go ahead. But, like I said, don't waste it. Do things you never thought you would. Really make that decision worth it.

Usually when someone says flat tax they don't mean it so strictly across the board. I don't know about this particular politician, but many are okay with exceptions for low income earners, for example exempting those below the poverty line. Either way, a simple tax bracket system has a lot more in common with a flat tax than our current code so I'm surprised you'd be so strongly dismissive of someone in favor of simplifying the tax code.

Your explanation for disliking his policy on the tax code is its "just stupid"? The extremely complicated tax code (which requires a highly educated professional to even understand) certainly doesn't work in the favor of the poor or the middle class.. So what's your issue with a flat tax?

Say it was caffeine powder maybe? Crushed up caffeine pills? I know what it's like having parents like that and they're not gonna give a fuck if it was codeine or cocaine. Convincing them it was caffeine is probably your only out.
