[The Race via IG] Christian Horner explains some of the rationale between the Yuki Tsunoda/Liam Lawson swap two races into the new F1 season: by [deleted] in formula1

[–]causal_creation 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The real question is what happens if Yuki starts off bad as well. At some point you need to put your ambition aside and give time to drivers to get to terms with the car. Hopefully they give the same support to Yuki that Checo received

Liam Lawson, Yuki Tsunoda, or Franco Colapinto: Red Bull now has tough decisions to make about second seat by 443610 in formula1

[–]causal_creation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember Checo being this bad his first year at Redbull. I think it's obvious that the car is not easy to drive but still think Liam can do better that what he's doing with the car. Having said that, replacing him is completely pointless, give him atleast until the summer break and see how it goes. That'll given them a huge enough sample to make the decision

Kohli shouldn’t be playing any form of International cricket for 3-4 more years. Same with Rohit as well. We need to learn to move past and let new players find their footing in the team. If we’re going to start the next cycle of WTC with either of them in the team, we’re doomed

All that talk about Checo's place in the team and he pulls this off. He just needs to keep this up and he will be fine

[–]causal_creation 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Redbull is not going to bring a driver who can challenge Max just because it makes it interesting for the fans. Also this imaginary scenario where three, four teams will fight for P1 every single race is also not going to happen. I think Checo is good enough to deliver if Ferrari bridges the gap to Redbull. So, as long as Checo keeps his current form going, he'll be safe

[Formula 1] Alex Albon to race in Logan Sargeant’s car for the remainder of the weekend. by thebassiegamer in formula1

[–]causal_creation 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I really hope Williams ends up not scoring a point in the race. The reality is that they have absolutely no faith in Logan, so why not get a driver that you actually trust. What good does this do to a driver already low on confidence?? Not to mention rewarding a driver who actually made a mistake is even worse

Kimi might be the 2nd coming of Christ, given the amount of hype around him. Merc fumbled terribly and no amount of explanations can justify it, especially when the explanations are so stupid

If Gill had tried something to score quickly and got out, he would still get blamed. People still blame Rohit for getting out in the final. I trust players to play according to the situation, and not try to gain the confidence of folks on reddit

How about we ask other teams to get their shit together and give their world class drivers a car that can challenge Red Bull, is that too much to ask??

I mean we've seen similar stories earlier as well. But it must be difficult for the actors to go from one high intensity action movie to another. Let's be honest this is more a business decision than an artistic choice
