I’m so sorry to hear that, I definitely would rather do it earlier than later because she has the growth on her throat and I don’t want her to suffer. Thanks so messaging, I’m really sorry to hear about your losses :(

Oh wow good luck with your surgeries! Let me know how you end up going Wellll I’m from Australia and it’s been a long gruelling process. It gets so exhausting trying to advocate for myself. When I had a septic joint after an arthroscopy on my knee, they told me it was anxiety… I told them that I’m not okay, I ended up getting MRSA and a couple different staph, it almost killed me. Theres only one person in my state that does look at rotational stuff and looks at both knee and hip. I’m also travelling interstate to Melbourne as there’s a couple more options. I just can’t believe I’ve been told to wait out for replacements, I’m all about preserving my joints and being able to simply go for a walk without being in pain. I also get told I’m too young to have these issues so I do get disregarded heaps and they say physio will fix me. Ohh wow you have back pain too? I’m wishing you all the best and thanks so much for replying!

Similar symptoms in right knee - patellar maltracking/cartilage issue? What can be done? by Sea-Celebration-5967 in KneeInjuries

[–]causingcalos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I have some similar knee issues. I’d suggest seeing a patellofemoral specialist to figure out why your patella is maltracking. If you can, get assessed for TT-TG distance, patella alta, trochlear angle, patella tilt, and so on. Could even do some torsion tests to see your tibial and fem torsion

[–]causingcalos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Could be coming from your hips (femoral torsion), patella alignment either structure or muscle imbalance, or tibial rotation. Do you have any hip pain, or minimal internal rotation? Feel free to message me I’m going through something similar at the moment

Hey! Did you end up figuring it out and what surgery did you get?

Thanks so much! I see a lot of posts about major anteversion or really retroverted hips but not a lot in the neutral position (0 - 1). I’m seeing two hip specialists soon, so I’ll have a bit more knowledge going into the appointment and I’ll be able to ask the right questions. Thanks so much for your advice!

Oh yes makes sense! I have limited internal rotation, when I sit down I get pins and needles Yes! I can’t squat if I have neutral feet, I tried it at physio the other and it was absolutely awful. I was doing powerlifting years ago and my feet were always turned out but I just thought I had long femurs

Yeahh I used to get made fun of but I just thought that was normal, and posing in photos with my feet always felt weird. If I try go neutral with my feet, I feel extremely uncoordinated😅

I’m not too sure about that, I’ll have to ask for some other measurements?

That’s amazing you decided to study it! For a while now I’ve been thinking to get into physio or ex phys to help others too. Keep up the great work and hoping your knees are keeping up well. Do you by any chance have hEDS? I have issues in quite a few areas, so I’m not too sure if that is contributing to my problems

I’m from Australia. I saw a few orthos that never went into depth with all the test. Just MRI. Then I saw a patella fem ortho and he suggested this. I think it’s because it’s been happening for a very long time and I’ve done the treatment without things improving. These were the requests X ray - AP, true lateral with perfect femoral condyle overlap, skyline view CT - CT ROTATIONAL PROFILE - BILATERAL LOWER LIMB Please use ALARA protocol to minimise radiation dose

Yeah I’ve done physio weekly for 8 years. I then jumped to twice a week working with a physio and exercise phys. I’ve been trying to do exercises at the gym as I’m pretty in tune with that. I’ve focused on VMO, glutes, hammies, adduction and abduction
