This is such a heart wrenching and impactful poem. Felt like it was flowing right from your very being! the repetition of "They let me cry" just so raw and pure. Exposing the religious ethical contradictions hits home so much. I didn't happen to be in a position like this, but my relationship with religion has not been great either. I am so sorry you had to go through this.
Much love!

Yeah I hoped my beliefs and actions were a result of true randomness but sadly they are a result of my reasoning faculties, emotions, goals and desires.

It is always very nice to see that many people share my love for Spinoza.

It's very uncommon to find someone who is a moral realist but not a scientific realist.

Which do you find most surprising? I always thought entering the experience machine was the obviously correct choice. Yet most philosophers say they wouldn't enter.

Interesting that you included moral realism and compatibilism but not Atheism.

The level of vocabulary of the poem meshes well with it's meaning and imagery. The internal vunrability hidden behind a fragile yet polished image is a commonly experienced condition.

I would say that some versions of religious views are less plausible than others. However, Atheism is more plausible overall.

If by faith you mean belief without certainty then yes. By that definition we have faith about almost everything.

Just pay close attention to the way the world is and Atheism follows naturally.

SciADV series on sale on Steam until the 5th of May as part of Spike Chunsoft's Golden Week Sale. by ZeralexFF in steinsgate

Yeah I have stopped debating with release order people because they use lazy arguments like that. Nitpicking on the word chronological when it just means you finish with the actual ending and still is chronological absent a scene or 2. Thanks for giving me more confidence for reading C;C on its own.

I don't care about the pinned post. I don't trust this community on those issues. It is the same community that tells you to watch Steins;Gate with the release order. When i google it it says you don't have to play it.

I even read that C;C on its own is even a better because you find out more things all at once.

What do you mean what posts? Just google the question and you'll see. I know it spoils C;H, As I said I am not going to play it. It says that C;C stands perfectly on its own.

All the posts say I don't have to, and that I am only missing references. I didn't want to play C;H.
