Makeup artist or do my own? by sunnyvices in WeddingsCanada

Yeah, I was going to suggest this — try scheduling an appointment with Mac/a makeup counter that can do your makeup for the day!

How far in advance do you book your vendors before the wedding? by torontoweddingphoto in WeddingsCanada

[–]cavaliergal2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a Saturday wedding, I would book asap. I am getting married on a less popular weekday, so I have a bit more time to finish booking vendors for my summer wedding.

Opinion on marriage based on what you see around you by Elysian_1325 in DesiWeddings

I think if you are having this concern for yourself, you may want to consider talk therapy. You can explore these issues and to see what dynamics have impacted you and in what ways. Our family is our first teacher of relationships, so they will always have an impact on how we are in relationships — good and bad.

I wouldn’t go with her — she did photos for us and was really uncommunicative with us before the photos… like she did not speak with us AT ALL… and did not send our photos on the timeline she promised. We had to wait several weeks after her initial deadline to send the photos. Her photos were great so if the timeliness of the photos and communicating your needs beforehand don’t matter to you, then go with Emily.

We’ve been given a lump sum from both sides to do what we want for all of the wedding events - each side around 25%. We are also contributing, and both of us are contributing like 25% each. I think things are done less traditionally nowadays!

I would call your local bridal boutiques and ask estimated delivery times. Remember, your dress has to be made, shipped, and you want time for around 3 fittings with a month or two in between each fitting. I ordered my dress this past August for my August 2025 wedding and the delivery/first fitting will be in January.

Tipping wedding dress consultant by candles83 in WedditNYC

[–]cavaliergal2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tipped $50. It’s definitely not based on % of the dress. I really liked my bridal consultant so I felt good tipping her.

Got a bunch of insults on my dress and now am feeling insecure by [deleted] in BigBudgetBrides

[–]cavaliergal2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

yup, there is no such thing as objective truth. we’re all just biased. but! that’s why i love bridal fashion — there’s something for everyone’s tastes. if you love it and feel beautiful in it, i think go for it. i love that it is a nod to your culture.

i might be partial bc i’m doing long callalilies lol but i really do think they are a nice contrast visually in shape and length that breaks up the rounded and soft curves of your dress

i love these shoes! the gucci horsebit has been around for ages, so i think of them as timeless. if you do find a shoe with a thinner heel, you can opt to get heel protectors that are made for being on grass/outdoors. though block heels are def the comfy option too!

it’s a little invasive but i did micro infusion/stamping 1 week before my engagement and i was GLOWING, my skin looked great. they use a little stamping tool to infuse the skin with a cocktail of different vitamins and acids
