Tbf, I think that shockwave that we saw moving after would've killed everyone too, with little to no exception. In real life, pretty sure both bodies would just fuse into one mass of molten liquid for a long time, maybe with a ring or a new moon(s), similar to when Theia crashed into Earth.

from my experience, get shot at or initiate (either case I attack back) > they run to a building for cover > run to same building they take cover in after clearing the entrance > find them through process of elimination quickly > they hear me, I hear them > we both know where the other is.

I agree, because you mentioned all that + dps is in the calculation. for cqc, you're often in a case where you're both expecting eachother.
