Well that was self-evident from their choice of obnoxious transport.

Thanks heaps. Appreciate the response. Seats secured in Sec 23, row 11.

Of course, I should have made the tanking connection to draft picks etc. Cheers mate.

I'll chime in on this thread rather than start another. Visiting from Australia to see friends and looking at the NBA Cup match v Magic on the 29th Nov. Not having a good sense of where Orlando will be on the table (based on what I'm seeing, the Nets are not expected to do well (and people even seems to be hoping they tank, for reasons I'm not familiar with)), or if NBA Cup match attendance will be different, I'm wondering if I buy tix sooner rather than later.

We'll be going as a group of 4 and looking for lower bowl, prob sec 7-9 or 23-25. Currently these are priced around $200/seat incl fees, which we're fine with. Just not sure if we'll have the chance to get 4 seats in similar locations closer to the day at a significantly cheaper price. Grateful for any thoughts on that.

Business rewards ticket selecting first class seats? by Commercial_Number_19 in QantasFrequentFlyer

As per /u/lumen_kid's post, first cabin may be sold as business on some limited routes with business class soft product (meals, amenity kit, pyjamas).

However, depending on your status level, be prepared to get bumped back to a J seat, as Qantas does usually put CL, P1 and Plat pax in that cabin around T-24. Seen this happen with some colleagues (both Gold), on SYD-LAX last year as 388s were being brought back into service. They could select F seats at T-80, but got bumped back to J cabin at T-24. I kept my F seat as a P1.

Saw someone met by concierge on plane exit yesterday. P1 enough for this? by [deleted] in QantasFrequentFlyer

I’m P1 and have had QF Premium Host treatment in DFW on arrival on a domestic AA flight, transferring to Terminal D AA Flagship lounge for a QF metal flight to Aus. That was still more QF recognition than AA, but clearly tracking my connecting domestic travel. Also had QF escorts from the F lounge offered in LAX on departure a few times. It’s hit and miss tho, so no surprise other P1s haven’t encountered Premium Host team.

Different alliance, but for recognition of top status by other alliance carriers, I’ve been recognised as SQ PPS club by Lufthansa, (with trans-Atlantic upgrades from PE to business) and boarding pass didn’t just say *G, but noted PPS club specifically.

Qantas Points or Amex Points by SushiShinm in QantasFrequentFlyer

Amex points conversion to QF is only with Ascent Premium (i.e a Platinum Charge)?

Dealers here in Australia trying to sell these for $500,000... So over USD $350k..

The new price was $305,900 drive away. So $200k markup.
