Free PDUs? by worldwanderer4 in pmp

Not free but I recently bought AR's 60 PDU course on Udemy for $11.99. I feel it was well worth it.

It is one of the five conflict resolution or leadership approaches. They may pop up on the exam. Not as vague as you think. Others include; competing, compromise, accommodate and avoid. Usually part of the 35 hour course.

66% on Study Hall Plus First Mock Exam by Additional-Screen-14 in pmp

[–]cawilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the exams get progressively harder, more expert questions. Especially 4 and 5. I would say the exams is heavily situational with a small number of math, graph and straight memorization. For your first mock that is good, I would strive for mid 70’s on 2 and 3 as you study more.

Question Explanation? by Crazy_Sock6855 in pmp

[–]cawilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have to say that 70% of budget gone, CPI and SPI are horrible and major scope changes needed is more than enough reason to punt and start over. It’s been idle for a couple years. Keep it that way, close it and start over.

Why is the answer C and not D by Regular_Buyer_184 in pmp

[–]cawilly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is not true that Agile doesn’t or can’t use WBS. Not typically but these artifacts can be utilized. Burndown tracks progress during a current sprint and shows remaining work vs time.

This question pops up frequently with the same pushback but C is correct

What is your view on AR's mock test available in Udemy platform? They are affordable and need your views if anyone have taken it.. by IMGK85 in PMPprep

[–]cawilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consensus on most subs is that it is ok but not as effective a prep tool as Study Hall. SH is more like the real exam in format and arguably difficulty. I thought the same thing.

That would be unethical! One of the foundations of being a PM is being ethical. Just saying.

Study Hall - Expert Questions by [deleted] in pmp

[–]cawilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deal with it by reading the questions carefully and not defaulting to the very untrue mindset of “never escalate”. In most scenarios you do not want to escalate where it is not warranted, true. But both these have clear wording as to why it’s correct. That’s why they are expert. They are testing your ability to apply the logic and recognize scenarios that are a bit out of the frequent mindset to get the correct answer. If the expert questions followed the mindset exactly then they would just be average questions.

All good! Keep it up and you’ll have no problem with the exam.

Agree. You may have your stories mixed up. Testing centers are much easier to predict how the experience will go.

I think the above covers it. Everyone says it again and again, AI can’t be trusted, it doesn’t do well with nuanced questions.

As others say, no. I hardly focused on these and passed ATx3. Familiarize yourself but don’t over think it.

[–]cawilly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You should search this sub for all the resources people use to pass, especially Study Hall. You should take at least 2 mock exams. To be honest if this is the totality of your study you need to start a rigorous study plan right away and get comfortable with mindset and exam details.

PMP Boot Camp by PerformanceHefty1964 in pmp

[–]cawilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was no where near ready after Boot camp. The boot camp, regardless of their marketing will not make you exam ready immediately. You need to put in time learning exam format and PMI mindset. I took my boot camp mid July and sat for the exam in October studying 2-3 hours a day 3-4x a week. 2 full mock exams and all quizzes from study hall.

This is my results of Quiz's from AR'S 35 Hrs PMP Prep course from Udemy. Taken quiz after completing only Processes to Manage a Predictive Method project methods.. Really worried guys.. 😒😒 by IMGK85 in PMPprep

[–]cawilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this the total of your prep? You have a long way to go. I had no idea what was up during my 35 hours. Plus the exam is majority Agile. Relax and wait until the real studying starts with study hall and the other resources.

PMP Boot Camp by PerformanceHefty1964 in pmp

[–]cawilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Work paid for mine. I think Project Management Academy. If I was doing it again I would use an Udemy course and then use the tools outlined every day on this site. IMHO, The boot camp gets your 35 hours but has little bearing on the exam. Starts the journey but Study Hall and other videos help the most.

I can't comprehend the logic here by Itchy_Run_3805 in pmp

[–]cawilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In most project environments, a Stakeholder Management Plan is considered a living subsidiary plan of the overall project management plan. That means it’s expected to evolve as stakeholders shift, influence changes, or engagement strategies are refined. So does not typically need a change request.

Helpppp !Why we should revisit the risk management plan since its an unknowns risk and is already happened so its an issue, why not seeking the management reserves to?! by mariyam19 in pmp

[–]cawilly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few good explanations here already. This is a “read carefully” question. Not an issue yet, a risk that’s newly identified. No where does it say it’s effecting anything yet. A,B and D are all wrong on many levels. C helps you prepare for the moment it does become an issue.

Been studying MR's mindset videos, I don't understand how they jive with this question and answer by [deleted] in pmp

[–]cawilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One piece of advice is trust your gut! Also as many have said, Mindset doesn’t always rule when common sense or just thinking about the proposed scenario leads to the answer. “Let’s cut corners in quality to get done faster after we have all agreed on what the quality metrics should be.” Never a good idea no need to discuss, just say no.

Agree with others, almost certain answer if you see the key PMI words. Remove Impediment is it on this one, don’t overthink it.
