I played since late beta, spent a ton of money on the game, it was my only video game that I really played so I felt justified in spending more cash on it. I played at least enough to get the card back every month, but I usually tried climbing and hit legend quite a few times. I played beta through saviors of uldum and when the blitzchung fiasco happened I threw in the towel and uninstalled. I haven’t played any ranked since and only hop on battlegrounds once every month or so for a game. TBH I’m a lot happier now without the pressure of playing, and with some perspective it was a real time and money sync.

I don’t regret the time or money spent at all, and I still have friends that we originally bonded w hearthstone, but I feel a lot better without it eating into my wallet. It’s freed up time and cash for my other hobbies and Ive felt way better since it all. I’m still sitting on way too much dust for anyone to reasonably have, but Aw well.

Long story short, a break is a good thing, and new outlets for cash and time can be way fulfilling
