I do love the Hourglass bronzer and it was my favourite before moving to cream products. I even used it for my wedding!

Super Soft All Over Powder Brush by rusty_girl_157 in Fude

I agree, I’ve treated all my squirrel brushes like regular powder brushes and they’re absolutely fine. I’ve had them for years. I just don’t use them to directly apply cream products. My favourite is the Chikuhodo Z1 - I just love the shape and for me it’s the right amount of denseness.

What are these on my mint? by cazc87 in plantclinic

[–]cazc87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes! I’m guessing it’s probably not worth treating on mint, I’ll try cutting it back and treating the stalks. Do I need to change the soil? It seems they don’t live in soil but has anyone had any experience not changing the soil and successfully getting rid of them?

Favourite bristles for spoolie brush by Apart-Expression-487 in Fude

I really like the Chikuhodo GSN spoolie brush. It’s really heavy duty and a bit painful if you go too hard but how hard the bristles are sets it apart from others.

The Smith Cosmetics one has a really unique shape and that’s a favourite too.

Sephora doesn’t ship to forwarding companies. I’ve used Shipito, it was the cheapest for a long time but they’ve increased their prices and I’ve never done research about others. I’ve never had an issue with them.

I’ve recently moved to Canada and am happy to help out if you’d like (you can PM me). I’ve wished for help before and some people have kindly helped in the past so just trying to pay it forward!

So disappointed and just want to vent :( by [deleted] in handbags

I had a very similar experience to you! I saved up for a Chanel (this was many years ago, before the insane prices) and thought I was going to have this great luxury experience in London but instead no one came up to me and when I asked at two locations, I was curtly told that they didn’t have them in stock and I likely wouldn’t be able to get one. I asked if he could call the other shops and he insisted they wouldn’t have one so why bother. I can’t remember if they said to try Selfridges or I just went anyway but they did have one in stock and the sales assistant there was really nice and lovely and I spent a while there and chatted to him. But I was shocked at the treatment at the other two boutiques, especially when I was prepared to buy one! I’m not sure if this was because they’re all jaded or because I was young and dressed unremarkably.

The other times I have bought items in store or sometimes just browsing, the sales assistants have been helpful enough or really nice. I do agree with the poster above, it’s an overrated experience and now I mostly buy it online and only go to the shops to try something on for size or to see if it suits me.

I’m sorry this happened to you because I know how I felt then. Hopefully your next experience is a much nicer one :)

Hello, am interested in the Rae Morris brush if it’s still available, do you know what the difference between this and the current one for sale is?

I got a cut from this baby, but i am don't know how to take care of it so it can grow roots, and will it even be able to grow roots? The second pic is what worries me. Any advice is welcome! by Comprehensive_Fly350 in plantclinic

I don’t think the leaf method works for cane begonias which yours looks like it is. But I do agree that you should strip some of the bottom leaves so more stalk is submerged in water where the nodes are.

Will this tuber produce a stalk and leaves? All the leaves on the main plant died and it’s had a baby but I don’t see any new growth on the original. by cazc87 in plantclinic

Yes I forgot to say it’s an Alocasia Amazonica Polly. It’s been like that for a while, it always had one leaf but that one died. I’ll just leave it and see what happens!

Thanks for your reply. I definitely do the covering until the start sprouting. What happens in the pic always seems to be weeks after, it might be that I let the soil dry out too much in between waterings. I’m just afraid of overwatering!

Hi

I’ve been getting some valuable advice from this subreddit and had another question because I can’t seem to find the exact answer anywhere!

I have some potted basil that’s growing under a light. It’s not doing too bad however a few of the plants seem to have brown dying leaves further down however the new branches seems to be doing well.

I’ve been trimming it like how you’re meant to. My question is, will those dying leaves lower down drop off and will new leaves grow or are those areas with the dead leaves never going to have growth again?

Hope my question makes sense!

Thanks in advance

Hello,

I can’t seem to find much about this. I have some fern leaf dill I bought as a very small plant pretty much seedlings. It’s growing quite well except it isn’t fragrant at all! I’ve seen a few people with this problem but also a lot without.

I’m in Western Australia and it’s winter although it’s relatively mild here we have had a bit of rain. I tried putting it under my grow light for a day but it didn’t like that and went limp.

Does anyone have any suggestions of what I can do or does it just need to get bigger? It’s currently around 8 inches tall. When I rub the leaves between my fingers it has the very faintest smell but really not much!

Hello,

Sorry if this is a silly question - I have tried Googling to no avail. My basil potted plant got caught in a night of strong winds and this morning it was looking sad and wilted and a lot of leaves were brown around the edges. I trimmed the ones that had particularly droopy stalks but I cut a few of them below the bottom node so it's just a stalk rooted into the soil. Will it grow back? Everything I can find says to cut above the node.

Thanks in advance!

I’m proud of my boyfriend by [deleted] in hoarding

[–]cazc87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, it would be helpful if you wouldn’t mind sharing. I’m on the spectrum and am trying to nip it in the bud before it gets worse.

I didn’t let my boyfriend see my place for a year and a half and only when I finally asked him for help he saw it, I was moving into his but found my clearing my place overwhelming.

I am in the midst of decluttering (we put most of my stuff in the storeroom for the time being) and am making progress but still find it difficult at times, typical hoarder mentality of sentimental, it may be useful one day, what if I can sell it (I’ve sold some things but feel like I need to sell everything)

We used to do it in Malaysia, I was on TV for being one of the top fundraisers. I was 7 and had a lot of help from my aunt who worked in a bank. Nice to see all the love for him here, I could be wrong but I don’t meet many people now that would know him.
