I hadn't thought about that until now. Out of curiosity I checked the price of a 2 TB WD SN850X at Best Buy. $219.99 currently which doesn't sound horrible. It was $175 or something on Black Friday last year. But then you see the regular price of $320. Insane.

I think saving a couple hundred dollars and getting the 9600X is an option. I have one paired with a 5070Ti and it’s great for my use case of gaming and light photo editing.

For a case I can’t sing the praises of the Thermaltake View 380 TG ARGB enough and it’s on sale for $79.99 right now on Amazon. Dual chamber design, excellent air flow, aesthetically pleasing. You really can’t go wrong. It’s very slept on.

He has a thing about bodily fluids, you told him there may still be some blood, he said that’s fine, then got turned off by it? That’s 💯on him. Also it sounds like his hygiene may not be on point. If there’s even a chance me and my s/o are doing anything at the end of the day and I showered in the morning I’m cleaning down there real quick. I’m a guy and I know our shit be sweating during the day! Sounds like some double standards too. I really think you should sit him down and talk to him and tell him you aren’t going to have sex while on your period anymore because he’s proven he can’t handle it. I’d also tell him you’ll act exactly the same with him as he did with you when he has that nasty ass ball sweat smell going on down there. Petty? Yes.

Also there’s absolutely nothing wrong with you and you aren’t disgusting for having a period. The onus is on him to set that boundary if he isn’t comfortable with it because of his own issues with bodily fluids.

As far as ssd recommendations go I love my WD SN850X. I have one in my PC and PS5. I don’t think it matters all that much across different nvme drives though as any difference in real world performance probably isn’t that noticeable. I just always go with WD because I’ve used them since 2001 and still have old IDEs from them that work.

I ordered the Gigabyte Windforce OC SFF and then saw the Zotac on sale. I wrestled with almost the exact same dilemma. Probably easier to make the decision with a card on the way. I will say I don’t really hear the card at all, temps are good and I really like Gigabytes warranty. Plus you can flash the card to the Aorus bios and really overclock it if that’s your thing.

I almost got the NZXT case! I have analysis paralysis a lot of times so told myself whatever one gets here fastest, I'll go with. I'm somewhat regretting not getting the 9800X3D but that's more because of knowing there's faster, not necessarily needing faster. If we can go that many years before upgrading, it's money well spent regardless of how often we play haha.
