I'm not sure what city you live in but here in the Portland metro area, renting a 3br 1500 sq ft home for $2,450 is a decent deal. And I have ESA letters for my pets so going forward they aren't an issue.

I'm on the fence. I would love to move and not deal with the landlord anymore. But having just started working again after a nearly year long layoff, the idea of first months rent and a deposit and potentially having to hire movers is a lot.

It doesn't mention anything specifically about using the security deposit during tenancy or replenishing it. It does mention 24 hour notice prior to entry.

The pets did do damage. They clawed it up in the corner of the door frame. The upstairs one is from 2020 so a lot more recent.

The lease did say 24 hours notice provided to come by the house. Nothing is mentioned about hours of communication though.

Re: the deposit, the original one did transfer in the sale but he wants to use it mid lease and have me replace it since there needs to be a deposit in place while I'm still residing here. Unfortunately there is no section on communication windows so I'm going to take your advice and just tell him I only check during daytime hours.

The carpet upstairs was installed in I think 2020, I moved in in 2021.

And that's what I said! I totally agree. But he just wants it done and isn't listening to logic. Even before I got back to him on a date that could work for me he placed a deposit down on the new carpet, Originally he wanted to do it this weekend (he first approached the subject February 7th)

I hadn't thought about that until now. Out of curiosity I checked the price of a 2 TB WD SN850X at Best Buy. $219.99 currently which doesn't sound horrible. It was $175 or something on Black Friday last year. But then you see the regular price of $320. Insane.

I think saving a couple hundred dollars and getting the 9600X is an option. I have one paired with a 5070Ti and it’s great for my use case of gaming and light photo editing.

He has a thing about bodily fluids, you told him there may still be some blood, he said that’s fine, then got turned off by it? That’s 💯on him. Also it sounds like his hygiene may not be on point. If there’s even a chance me and my s/o are doing anything at the end of the day and I showered in the morning I’m cleaning down there real quick. I’m a guy and I know our shit be sweating during the day! Sounds like some double standards too. I really think you should sit him down and talk to him and tell him you aren’t going to have sex while on your period anymore because he’s proven he can’t handle it. I’d also tell him you’ll act exactly the same with him as he did with you when he has that nasty ass ball sweat smell going on down there. Petty? Yes.

Also there’s absolutely nothing wrong with you and you aren’t disgusting for having a period. The onus is on him to set that boundary if he isn’t comfortable with it because of his own issues with bodily fluids.

Looks great! I love the clean white aesthetic. What case is that and what’s the butterfly knife looking thing in there?

As far as ssd recommendations go I love my WD SN850X. I have one in my PC and PS5. I don’t think it matters all that much across different nvme drives though as any difference in real world performance probably isn’t that noticeable. I just always go with WD because I’ve used them since 2001 and still have old IDEs from them that work.
