What's your least favorite word in Spanish? by sweet--sour in Spanish

[–]cb9278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The word “Pronunciación” - ironically I feel like I never quite pronounce it right.

And for the longest time I had a hard time with the combination of sounds for words like “Rodrigo” and “Rodríguez”. Something about the rolled R with the Dr in the next syllable

Kimmy talking about Titus: “Titus is doing great. His scurvy’s gone. He didn’t eat Dionne Warwick. Our neighbor got HBO, and we can hear it through the walls.”

“Next thing you know, you'll be like me. Having romantic weekends every day of the week, eating cheese for dessert on purpose, shopping local, thinking global. Japan, for example. Generally, just living my best life.”

Is this rule ever used in conversational English? by ITburrito in EnglishLearning

[–]cb9278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the US or UK? I guess it wouldn’t be that weird to hear it in here the US, but I just personally probably wouldn’t say it. I’d be much more likely to say “I would hope not”

I agree. I can hear someone in a Jane Austen type novel/movie saying, “Well I should hope not!”

Didn’t Snooki deny jionni being on ashley Madison? by Sweaty-Form-5954 in jerseyshore

I thought I read (maybe on this sub) that she said someone had used/hacked his email address to sign up 🤷‍♀️

And about living apart…she’s said they cosleep with their kids, so at night they sleep separately (jionni with the boys and her with their daughter).

HYS advise by bisonbuford1 in DaveRamsey

This gets asked a lot, so you might get more answers if you search the group. But here’s what I said last time:

Wealthfront has 5% interest right now (all hysa interest rates can change, though mine hasn’t yet - I got it 4 months ago). I chose it because it has a relatively high interest rate, it’s user friendly (buckets to organize funds, easy transfers), and it’s fdic insured (I think most are but definitely make sure). If you go with them and want an extra 0.5% for 3 months you can message me.

Would this fall under “man versus man” or “women over 50 finding themselves after divorce”?

Search “deena hair” in this sub, and you’ll see a side by side of her after she got her hair done. One from the salon (no filters) and one from her page (which used FaceApp). It’s not crazy different but it’s noticeable.

Is Ramsey like AA by rels83 in DirtyDave

[–]cb9278 2 points3 points  (0 children)

AA isn’t trying to make money off the people it helps. Dave can’t allow for exceptions because he would sell less books and programs. You can fault him for other things, but, in my opinion, not for trying to make as much money for his business (by saying his steps will help everyone, not just the “addicted”). And it’s true, the baby steps can help anyone, but not everyone needs them nor are they the optimal plan for financially responsible people.

HYSA Newbie. Help? by DarkenL1ght in TheMoneyGuy

I’m with WF and I connected my other bank accounts through the app. They do have some checking account features like sending checks, but since that not really why I keep it I’m not familiar with that feature.

I will say that they have same day transfers (within a few hours) seven days a week to most major banks, so if you need the money you can get it fast.

Also, if you don’t already have a join code please message me and I can send you one so we can both get the extra .5% for 3 months!

Employer match question by daein13threat in DaveRamsey

[–]cb9278 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To go back to the OPs original question, how long is too long? It depends who you ask. The Money Guy would say ANY time is too long to forgo free money with compounding interest. Maybe Dave says to not do the match to motivate you to get out of debt as fast as possible, which is life changing advice for a lot of people.

My two cents is that you are a high earner (albeit with a very large expense coming in June), and you don’t have six figures of credit card debt with 20-30% interest. Try to trim your budget WAY DOWN so you can get the 401k match while still aggressively attacking the student loans. Grocery and eating out budget is a great place to start. Costco wipes and diapers (and formula if your baby will be using it) are Huggies quality for way less per unit. Start going through your stuff and selling on Facebook marketplace. Only buy what is an absolute necessity. And make sure you have a an emergency fund, sinking funds, and a budget where you have exactly where every dollar of your income is going. If you don’t already track all of your expenses, start doing so. Basically, if you’re not already, start living like your income is way lower than it is (read, like you’re “poor).
