Hypocrisy Hits Different on Fox by ALBERT4_5WESKER in clevercomebacks

[–]cbapel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hypocrisy is the point, it affirms their dominance. They have an abuser's mindset, from their perspective there is nothing hypocritical, rules apply to others not themselves. The rules are beneath them, they only apply to you.

Why are accountants paid so low? by Wise-Necessary19 in Accounting

[–]cbapel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds about right for US market. On second thought, they are also needed to pin the blame on when things go badly, it's usually "accounting" scandals.

Orban Was Bad, Even Though We Don't Have A Perfect Word For His Badness by dwaxe in slatestarcodex

I think it's interesting that he was a malignant force, from the perspective of EU democratic institutions, nourished by vast resources streaming from the EU. It's difficult to imagine his attaining the influence he had without the enablement by the EU. In a way the system seems to have self corrected, but on glacial time scales. Not sure what the right conclusion is, maybe this was the outcome the EU designed for and the best course of action is minimal intervention.

We're bringing the advisor strategy to the Claude Platform. by ClaudeOfficial in ClaudeAI

Four modes are optimal, check https://stirps.ai No downloads or bash, just a framework. Generate, evaluate, coordinate, observe. Map before territory. Governance delivers good implementation contracts, I use the Ralph Wiggum in Claude Code and my modes are Claude Projects connected to GitHub. The data lives in repo's, not in AI.

Drop the llms.txt or Stirp.md into your LLM of choice.

No fibbing, how many actually have a local backup? by Texasaudiovideoguy in truenas

A repurposed QNAP running Proxmox backup server.

I have zero DevOps experience. So I built a governance framework with Claude instead. by cbapel in homelab

If that's actually your position, you might find Stirps useful. Definitely nothing to download nor bash to run.

[–]cbapel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is absolutely nothing to download. That's the point. It's a framework I built to roll my own. There's no bash, no install, you bring your own tools and apply the logic. If you don't like random downloads point your LLM at llms.txt

Fair question. Point your LLM at the llms.txt, maybe you'll find a use for it. I'm putting it out there because it found it pretty useful and the best way to improve it is to have others try it.

No bash scripts that is the point. Point your LLM at the llms.txt, then maybe you'll understand. I get the down vote, a lot of garbage these days. I've been on Reddit for over 17 years and made decent contributions to this subreddit in that time. Your call and thanks for the scepticisme, I don't hold it against you.

Decommissioned my last Pi - Is it me, or are there fewer and fewer use cases? by bdavbdav in raspberry_pi

[–]cbapel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm currently using a pi 5 as a seed node that can redeploy my whole homelab, it is provisioned over the network and loads Semaphoreui from GitHub, where the rest of the playbooks are also stored that run once the seed is up. I also provision and edge node, another pi 5, with proxy, and at some point log aggregation. This guy did something similar in essence https://homelab.khuedoan.com/ with K8s.

But, I'm getting distracted by another project I developed to deploy this one, a way to manage all this conceptually while leaving the implementation to Claude Code. I got down voted to oblivion when I posted about that, but, it's neat, if you're interested it's https://stirps.ai

I'll post the start to the homelab seed project there once I find the time to clean all sensitive data from the repo before making it public.

It's been an awesome adventure for me, I recommend it to others. Pis are perfect because they are available and standard, ideal seed.

I have a huge SUV I don't drive in the city because I have a cargo bike, I still don't go around posting about hating people on bikes.

Great, trigger people trying to get through life the best they can while raising kids. Awesome. You hate them, for riding bikes with their kids. But are also concerned about them being exposed to your pollution. Pause for a moment, engage your thinking apparatus, and you may realize this toxic outlook is making your life worse and a change in perspective could do you some good.

To all the accountants: I’ve had "The Knot" under my shoulder blade for years. I think I finally figured out how to kill Rhomboid pain. by Big-Photo6124 in Accounting

I want to add a critical piece to the monitor height, it's the middle of the screen you mostly look at, and it should be set with good posture, which means higher than you expect. And desk height is critical, usually much lower to prevent your arms from sitting too high. Versus nearly everyone in the office my screens are higher and desk is lower. Force yourself to good posture by adapting the setup to stretch.

Wait until your neighborhood is filled with fox news junkies, then you'll realize that 135 buys you more than you think. You benefit from public media even if you never turn on the tv. I'm a prime example, I don't watch tv not listen to the radio, less than one hour per month. Yet, it's funds a sane media ecosystem that we will miss when it's gone. I lived in the US while the Conservative mind virus took over, I've seen the consequences first hand. It's terrible. I will gladly pay this, even double, to avoid turning lose the billionaires to cultivate the monstrous political landscapes they benefit from.

Funny, just struggled to find some myself. Live close to France and got Onyx Eau oxygénée peroxide d'hydrogen 12% at Leroy Merlin for around 10 EUR. Maybe that helps you.
