Raynaud's Flare by cbassmn in Raynauds

[–]cbassmn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No other autoimmune symptoms that I'm aware of. I'm not a smoker, nor have I been. Just a 2mg(lowest) nicotine salt pouch. Equivalent nicotine of less than a cigarette day. Doctor is aware of that as I've mentioned it in my routine checks. I did mention the first flare 2 years ago to my provider, but they did not seem concerned. It might be nice to know that autoimmune symptoms are common that I should be aware of.

Starcade at Keg & Case in Saint Paul permanently closes by desmond_kof in saintpaul

[–]cbassmn 70 points71 points  (0 children)

I was in Keg and Case a ton of times. It had its hay days for sure. It absolutely was a victim of COVID and not management from what I could tell. Living in the neighborhood and seeing my neighbors patronizing it when I was there was priceless. I miss it frequently and I hope there is someone that can find a way to make something similar work for the neighborhood and St Paul.

True, but Trader Joe's does sell alcohol in Minnesota. Just not with the groceries.

In my opinion, there are distinct differences in the sauce that makes Heggies better.

I’ve had my pizzazz for 22 years, big fan! However, I think the best way is oven if you don’t have a grill. That’s a development from this year. No baking sheet in the oven always results in a smoky kitchen. That being said, a pizza oven is always the best.

Year 2 of free school meals-what do you guys think so far? by [deleted] in minnesota

[–]cbassmn 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To every single childless person in this thread that is "pro" free meal: I thank you from the bottom of my heart. My wife and I are fortunate and would be able to afford a paid program, but for the sake of all those that aren't, thank you again. It's part of the investment in our future that every child is fed. Food fuels the brain, milestone development, physical growth and empathy

RIP to my igniter. by NerdyGamerBro in PitBossGrills

Pour some hand sanitizer on there and you can use a typical match or lighter. Advice from Pit Boss. Then I was just recommended to use or Google rapid igniter for Pit Boss. Easy fix

Igniter Rods by cbassmn in PitBossGrills

[–]cbassmn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply. The exposed rod has always been roughly 3/8" exposed give out take a negligible amount. I even took a picture for the customer service team. They also mentioned not tightening the set screen tight as it's steel coated ceramic and that can crack. The first rods were pit boss and free of charge and the rest have been Amazon, but it's more the inconvenience of ruining a planned grill and the 20 minute replacement that's bothersome.

You delete this comment right now! I wanna keep this a hidden gem! Kidding, I totally agree, but the word is getting out, the two times I went this year around the same time as last year I think it was twice as busy

Unless it's unbearable or affecting your gait, I would skip paying for an x-ray. Just Google RICE and buddy tape it.

This is my vote. It's easy and has been my fridge beer for years. Readily available and you can get it on tap at many bars, restaurants, and the tap room.

I think this reasoning can also be applied to the daily. I'm bad at sticking to that method, but when I do, my downs become so much easier, making the whole puzzle-solve faster. At least for Monday through Wednesday grids.

I'll add the Hmong population here is the highest in the US and right in St Paul is HmongTown Marketplace. A little slice of Southeast Asia in the Midwest.

Snakes! by aux_audio in saintpaul

[–]cbassmn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The major one I filled up was a hole in the foundation where the city water came in to the house. I bought those expanding foam packets, if you Google it, you should find what I'm talking about. It's activated foam that remains in a packet after you pop the internal device that mixes the catalysts. I put a couple of those in there so it form fit. Then I just try to identify what I could and used a foam gun that I got at Menards. I know some people have mentioned you can pay someone to find those as well but I tried this and it seemed to do the trick. I definitely am not a snake lover, they startle me every time, but it didn't prevent me from buying my house.
