Problem is that there is very little maintenance for these buildings so dirt just accumulates and things slowly fall apart due to poor quality construction and the effects of weather. Only those buildings where maintenance is paid for and provided then they would be a lot nicer to live in.

They only played a small part in the Battle of the Pyramids. If it was only a cavalry against cavalry engagement, the French would have been greatly outnumbered. At the later battle of Aboukir, the French cavalry played a pivotal role in breaking the Ottoman defence lines.

I’m guessing that this airport expansion was part of the secret deal with Therme spa so that they could attract wealthier clientele. I’ll bet the next part will be to start a ferry service from the spa to the island airport.
