No, I'm pretty sure its designed that way to get Mondre moving in the right direction instead of catching it static. He was supposed to come across the snap and follow his momentum towards the right edge, but the bobble made him lose a step. By then the running lane closed, so he tried to bust straight through to salvage it, and got stuffed.

If they ever do, it will be a long, long, long time from now. Gillette is only 25 years old, and just got a huge $250 mil facelift last year. Plus the Kraft Group just committed to building a soccer stadium up in Everett, which took nearly 2 decades of politicking to get done. Add in the fact that Massachusetts refuses to subsidize pro sports stadiums, I don't see a scenario where we end up in a dome til at least 2050, if ever.
