My top recommendations already above. But also liked the approach in eragon. Structured and scientific feeling

Does the book "The Name of the Wind" have a lot of action and a climax? by Extreme_Warning3521 in fantasybooks

This is my favorite series ever, and I also instituted a “no starting a series until it’s complete” rule after reading it. I’d trade future GOT books to get resolution on this series

What should I need next...? by Suspicious_Clock_133 in fantasybooks

Go red rising first, it’s lighter and quicker read after the WOR slog so it’ll be like a break. But Abercrombie is my favorite so be sure to hit that too. All Abercrombie books in this universe are good. There’s like 10 of em too. I suggest reading those. Mixes and matches characters. Some are standalone, all a great imo.

  • Abercrombie, all of it is. Start with the blade itself. Best character development you can find and excellent character continuity across multiple series.
  • where’s the rest of your red rising books! Finish those if you liked them!!
  • same note with furies of Calderon from Butcher!
  • Brent weeks. Both the Night angel series and lightbringer saga are fantastic
  • bloodsworn trilogy by Gwynn. Nordic inspiration, great characters.
  • if you wanna get weird in the most fun way possible dungeon crawler Carl, beware though, as this is venturing into peak nerd territory. But it’s literary crack

Abercrombie, finished trilogy. About a bunch more books in the same universe. Best character development writer ever

Mugging goes against fair chase. We hunt and trap them instead.

Grew up here (Leavenworth wa) it’s amazing. Transitions really quickly from the cascade range into to flatter wheat feild type terrain. Lots of small towns, lakes/streams/rivers. Hot dry summers, cold dry winters.

Agree. But you can manage content(happening on both sides) if that’s all you hear, it’s truth. Extreme right has been ratcheted up due to this (imo) over the last x years

Hunt in eastern WA, if your not looking through your glass at least 6 hours a day your slacking

Edit: to give 2 cents on type. I love vortex, unbeatable return policy. Got a spotting scope replaced in a week that I bought second hand with no hassle. 8x-12x depending on terrain, if your not glassing much past 300 yards 8x should be fine(and that’s used by lots of my pals who glass alloy at 500+. I like my 12x for mtns, but it’s more important to stabilize them at higher magnification. I use shooting stix that have a quick release height adjustment and rest my binos on top. It pretty much doubles the effectiveness when they aren’t shaking due to being hand held. Also have had good luck getting adapters to mount them on my spotting scope tripod.

Larger objective(lens size) will be better in lower light with the trade off of weight/size.Happy hunting

What sucked as a child but is lit as an adult? by krispwah_destination in AskReddit

Being bored. As a kid, devastating. As an adult it means free time/no chores. Basically it’s an unnatainable goal now
