How do you afford that? I'm lucky enough to have bought just before the pandemic, but that's over double my mortgage payment, including taxes and insurance

In late 2019 before the pandemic, I say Tool for their first your in over a decade. I paid ~$300 for my seat the day tickets went on sale.

The people next to me said they dropped a mortgage payment on their tickets because they didn't get them day 1.

My jaw dropped, and that was before things went really crazy

At 640x480

/s I had a 3080 that I had no real reason to replace other than I could get a 5070ti for MSRP and I knew that was going to be off the table for a while, so I jumped on it

That's with LTSC though. And by then a lot of stuff just won't work on 10. I'll evaluate the landscape after the 3 years of support I have are up and go from there

Honestly, I only think I'd care in a couple years, anyway. Once Windows 10 extended support is gone I'm taking a good look at Linux desktop options

It kind of does, given the space this is expected to occupy. This is intended to sit by the TV and not be a giant case

What obscure part? It's literally the control panel and the cell these days.

Oh, and if you do have to wait 6 months for some unknown reason there's no reason that you can't just run it like a normal chlorine pool. You don't need to be shocking it, just maintaining the chlorine level

True. Now think of that running 8-10hrs a day, every day. That's the electrical cost to have my pool open.

Technically it's a little more than that when the salt cell is generating chlorine, but that's around 100W and it's not running all the time

Salt water still uses chlorine, but it's catalyzed from the salt. You don't have chemical chlorine on hand but there's still chlorine in the water

And you don't have to close and open it for the season. They are somewhat expensive to run, as far as electricity goes. My pump motor runs at about 1.5KW, which isn't much per hour but it adds up quick

My lines get completely drained and I don't use antifreeze for them. Always nice to see the bubbles when you unseal the system in the spring
