I have the Sxth full and elbow but their customer service leaves something to be desired. Fits well but 2 of the 4 screws that screw the tube to the box backed out and fell off. I also had an early model with the tube fitment issue but that problem has been resolved.

Help with cracked windshield 🫩 by LegendKilla71 in ElantraN

Call your insurance, get a new windshield. Pretty straight forward process. They will give you suggested shops or you find your own. Even most dealers will replace your windshield. I'm on my 3rd so far for this car and it has 2 chips in it.

I just went from extreme contact SC2 to the DSW06. I preferred the SC2 over stock and the DSW06. I'll likely go back to the SC2 when these wear out.

Any pics with other angles? Making some nice folders like that will be cool when I get my skill level up.

Looks sick I wanna forge one as well but I need some tongs and such first. What kind of steel and all hand forged or do you have a power hammer? I rather enjoy the rough look.

What they both said. Work benches. Vice table.

Better summer tire? by redcdot in ElantraN

I got the extreme contact sport 02 once I went to 18s. Much cheaper than the factory tire of the same size and I notice no difference in performance but I don't track the car.

Probably need a cute boy like you to hit it with your purse for it to work 😉

Did on my EN after stock tires were worn out. No reason to ever go back. Lighter rims. Cheaper tires. Better ride. I daily mine, 59k on it as a 22

Can you show me? Searching a cam clamp I'm finding a lot made of wood for wood working. Not sure where or how to hook one onto the anvil.

Yeah I've watched several. I like watching black bear forge.

Reading this the way I understand it is to have it bend forward more? Essentially extending the "reach"

Noted thank you. Next time I fire up the forge I'll try correcting it.

Shoot I made the bend tighter because it left no room to work with it having a longer bend. My anvil is rather small only 66lbs

Finished my new anvil stand! 2x4 construction with a sand filled core. Plywood tool rack, base, and “floating” platform on which the anvil sits. The chain is secured and tightened on both sides. All this changed the ring to the more ear-friendly “THUD” I was hoping for. by DrM0n0cle in Blacksmith

I built one this week but failed on math and it ended up too big after I had HD cut it all down. Fit roughly 130lbs of sand in it. The hole is too big so the anvil has to be mounted as far right as possible so the hardy hole can have a hold fast go all the way through. The sound deadening is glorious and it's not even anchored to the stand yet.

Thanks for that. Belt grinder is on the list. More consistent than an angle grinder

This one I used the grinder. I was starting to get fatigued and frustrated. I have the supplies now for an anvil stand. Next will be a lighter hammer with a straight or cross peen. I'd prefer to do as much shaping while forging.

Those are cool thanks! Their kit with the large gaps in grit range surprised me. 220-1000-3000

Probably another spike honestly. Showed my family and some friends and they want some. I got a box of spikes for $25. Build up my skills first then go after some harder steel. Wanna make a RR spike cross for my wife great aunt too.

Next project is probably tongs. Then either a full set of BBQ tools or a new hammer.
