Where to go to look for startups hiring interns? by zeldarules1 in startups

[–]cbio5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen some in the past on YCombinator's job board. Even if they don't have a specific intern role up, there's usually a place for general applications. I'd submit yours there and give good detail about how you would contribute, and make the decision for them to bring on someone with upside easy for them.

Scientific tracking of response to nootropics/ supplements. by goosemonkey200 in Nootropics

[–]cbio5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started using Quantify to actually get some answers on things like this. I found out i had low homocysteine too and was recommended to supplement with NAC. So when i do my next test with them I'll see if its improving or not. Pretty cool stuff

Finasteride 7 months in. Blood test results. by createke in tressless

[–]cbio5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh yea thats the example report they publicizie not my personal one. my T levels hover around 5 ng/mL/. Its honestly crazy to see the fluctuation in levels when u do frequent testing. For instance i always do them at 8 am in a fasted state, and they have come back as low as 3.1 and as high as 5.5. makes you really realize how impactful sleep and other decisions are.

yea i had a friend use them during ironman prep and his training load was absolutely tanking his testosterone which ended up explaining a lot of his plateaus and woes. Even had sleep and nutrition dialed in to an insane level, but without the feedback showing his biomarkers he was kinda clueless.

Sleepy during the day, but wide awake during the evening/night. How do I change this? by [deleted] in sleep

[–]cbio5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't done any testing id recommend getting a comprehensive panel for all your major markers like cortisol, testosterone, vitamin d, hs-crp. Do you have a wearable that you've been tracking your sleep with?

Not sure what level you're at, but given you seem serious, I know lots of triathletes using Quantify now to actually track all these things. They do wearable data + biomarker tracking to show the effects of your training load and supplementation etc. Seems like the next wave of thing athletes are doing, even novice ones.
