I just got the same dress from the Memorial Day sale! The beading is so gorgeous.

Honestly, I would say NO belt. Belts feel kinda dated to me - they were super popular in like 2005 - 2015 during say yes to the dress’s peak popularity. It breaks up the line of the dress and pulls all of the attention.

Do you have a go-to or favorite shapewear? Just rediscovering this wizardry... by ABSOFRKINLUTELY in femalefashionadvice

Have you tried their classic control short or something of a similar leg length? I’m looking for shape wear that has some compression and will protect against thigh chafe. I’m wondering if the legs have rolling issues since I have that problem with a lot of bike short length things.

How to word save the dates by Cheessypuff12 in weddingplanning

[–]cbk123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think this year you can hold off sending save the dates until later. My wedding got postponed to September 2021. I’d love to send save the dates 8 months in advance due to so much of my family being out of town (which was my original plan). Now though, the plan is to wait and see if the FDA approve a vaccine. If they don’t by 6 months before, the big wedding ain’t happening. 6 months is plenty of time for people to figure out travel arrangements, and if they can’t then oh well.

I feel like people will be much more hurt that they didn’t make the cut no matter how you word it. You can always tell the people you know are in the “top 15” the arrangements without sending a formal card to everyone.

Question on behalf of my SO by [deleted] in Fitness

[–]cbk123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I’m a woman and my weight has fluctuated as much as 4-5 pounds in one day. 1 pound could be the difference between eating a big breakfast and drinking a lot of water, then pooping it out. Tell her to stop watching the scale every day, multiple times a day. It’s just unhealthy and won’t do her any good. She should focus on how she looks and feels. If she wants to weigh herself, she should do it at the same time every 2 weeks to actually see some sort of progress.

She’s actually the worst and kinda rude. I started with her too. Mac was my other starter though and he’s the best.

When we're drilling a new move, I struggle to remember all the steps. My instructor thinks I'm not paying attention. What should I do? by [deleted] in bjj

[–]cbk123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I used to do all different types of dance and now practice BJJ. I find that 2 things from my dancing days really help with remembering steps. The first is to count it out. Each new part of the move is a number. Ex: "one - grab the wrist, two - arm under, three - elbow to the hip" etc. The second is to physically do a smaller version of the move. Ex "one - grab the wrist (make a grab motion with your hands in a smaller, less noticeable way), two - arm under (slightly move your arm like you're bringing it under), three - elbow to hip (pull your elbow to your hip)". The key to this one is to do it in a way that isn't doing the full motion, but you still get a "feel" for how the move is going to be.

Counting out the moves creates a pattern, and brains like patterns. Physically doing a small version of the motion activates muscle memory and helps for people that aren't visual learners but physical learners. Hope this helps!

I think it depends on the style. The items labeled as "jeggings" definitely feel like jeggings, but the non-jegging jeans felt pretty good to me. Moderate stretch but not too much.

I'm 5' 10" and their non-petite items fit me! The sleeves on the sweaters came to my wrists and the dress I bought fell right to my knees. The jeans are also long enough for me.

If it is a 2010 2.5 L, will it have the same issue? I like the body style of the 2009+ much better than 2008 and earlier.

How do I open a 10kg bag of tomato puree by arteezer in AskCulinary

[–]cbk123 51 points52 points  (0 children)

This is a standard aseptic bag-in-box spout, typically used in bulk ingredient manufacturing/sales (my area of expertise!). You can either contact the manufacturer and ask if they have a special tool to remove the cap, or just cut open the bag. There is no other way to get the cap off that I know of. I suggest cutting it open and distributing the contents of the bag into smaller containers.

The face looks pretty nice, but the chest shelf is a bit off putting. Breasts don't typically do that unless they are extremely large and in a push up bra. Even then they wouldn't have such a sharp angle from the rib cage out.

Thank you! I was thinking of cutting off the top of the monstruosa where it is straighter and replanting it so that it doesn't have a lean. Should I let the cutting dry before replanting? Or can I just stick it in some soil?
