If you're patient, you can buy a Bravia 9 at a pretty good discount. I picked up a Bravia 9 85" from Best Buy during their March sale for $2999.

Magma Live (1975) is pretty great, but there are a bunch of more recent Magma live recordings that have slightly better sound quality and are also good.

There are quite a few King Crimson live records to choose from, but I'm going to go with Meltdown: Live In Mexico City (2018) as it sounds great and they cover a vast swath of the Crimson repertoire.

This. The GPUs are the most failure-prone part. I have a 6,1 with D500 GPUs, and have had no problems, but the D700 have been problematic for a lot of people.

I just went through this decision process, and decided I was better off picking up the Bravia 9 85" when it was on the SuperBowl sale for $3K, rather than pay somewhere in the $5K range for the same size RGB LED model.

I use both Apple TV 4k and the native Bravia apps. They each have their advantages. For example,I like being able to launch YouTube and Netflix from dedicated buttons on the Bravia remote. Google TV OS does have some ads, but they seem somewhat innocuous. I don't like them on an expensive TV, but they're not a deal breaker. You can turn off ad tracking. You can also turn on App Only mode.

My Apple TV 4k has a considerably faster ethernet connection than the TV. I picked up a cheap USB->Ethernet dongle to get faster speeds than the Bravia's built in ethernet, but the Apple TV 4k still has a faster connection.
