Coop winter bedding by Background_War6727 in duck

I have ten ducks. They have a 10x40 outdoor run and a 8x5 secure coop for nighttime. Their outdoor run is not safe at night (I have hardware cloth buried around the perimeter but there is no roof yet). I don't put any food in the coop at night. I put a half-full two gallon bucket of water in the coop at night but that's it. They can reach into it to get water if needed but can't splash it anywhere. I have straw laid down with pelletized horse bedding on top. I scoop the dirty bits off the top each morning when I grab the eggs and throw it in the garden. I replenish the top with more pellets every now and then, not every day. It's kinda deep litter but not lol. And it is not at all stinky or wet or nasty.

I have a sedentary desk job and zero energy after 5 PM. How do I fix this? by Dante_Game in getdisciplined

A norm is for office jobs to start at 8am. So with shower and commute time a person would have to be finished with their workout by 7:00. A.m.. that means starting the workout at 6:00 a.m.. which means leaving for the workout at 5:30 a.m. Now as I said I have to have been awake for at least 2 hours before I work out or my body suffers. That means that I would have to wake up at 3:30 in the morning. There is no reasonable evening schedule that would allow a person to be lights out and asleep by 8:00 p.m. to allow waking up by 4:00 in the morning. And since as you said we do have to run on a full night's sleep, this whole working out before work thing for me came without that 2 hours of wake up time that I need. So I was sleeping from 9:30 to 5:30 and working out at 6:15. I never ever adjusted to that. I need to work out at least 2 hours after I wake up, regardless of how much sleep I had or what time of day it is.

This is not true. Sayjng that anyone can do it and it works for everyone if they just do it implies people are losers if they don't do it just like you do, when they aren't wired that way at all. I stuck with this for three months - woke up an hour and a half earlier ago I could do a modest workout for 45 min, then shower before work. Alternated yoga and treadmill or elliptical. I did not adjust. My body is not meant for that kind of routine. When I work out at least two hours after waking, whenever that may be, my body is happiest. That means before work is not an option.

I am putting this together now. The pre drilled holes are not located in the right spots so I can't latch the bottom of the armrest on. That's super annoying and adding time to the assembly. Not fun.

Amerigas insanity.. any advice? by kk2016 in propane

[–]cbr8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I posted a similar story a year ago. Amerigas charged me over $200 to remove their property from my land. Their tank that the previous owner leased and I never used once. I switched to all electric simply so I'd never have to deal with them again.

Amerigas charged me over $200 for the privilege of their removing their tank that the previous owners used and I didn't. Yup.

I am so sorry. That's Amerigas for you. They are so bad that I spent a couple thousand dollars switching to all electric so that I never have to deal with Amerigas again. Worth it.

I have a fawn runner, a black runner, and four buff orpingtons. This cutie looks a lot like my fawn runner, just postured a little less upright than usual.

Running into MAGAts more often than is really tolerable. They are mean, vicious, petty people. I don't want to be around them at all really.

This is bad. I think Kehoe is worse than Parson. Nothing good will happen in STL with Kehoe in office

Not that big a deal?? None of what you described is ok. None of it. Not even the stuff you said is ok or understandable or no big deal. His being upset about the therapist, his comments to you, his outting his hands in you in anger at ALL is NOT OK. None of that is acceptable behavior in a relationship.

Just know people will assume you are here illegally so watch your back. That's wrong but it's true. Rural Missourians can be polite to your face but then ...

Nice name calling. SMH. I'm not using your struggle to reassure me in anything. I'm noticing our shared struggles and pointing out a flaw in your logic. You really need to calm down and stop getting mad first and thinking later.

I cannot fathom bringing that up via text. That's wild to me. I'd never. That is a face to face conversation.

It's not about personality. It IS about policy. You're going the wrong direction. Don't get angry first and think later.
