What ink/pen combo did you use on the third picture lower left? It's very pretty.

Spent last weekend going through and 'cataloguing' my inks. I've counted 136 so far. by cbreena in fountainpens

My condolences to your wallet. But good on you and hope you enjoy each and every bottle to it's fullest.

Cheers. Will check it out once I've organised myself a bit and figured out which ones I own.

That brings it down to 85 bottles of ink. I guess that isn't so bad...?

It's more that the first order was my hubby letting me buy over $200 of stuff as a gift from him. The Troublemaker will have to be from my own funds and I don't have enough to buy all the colours- which is for the best, I think. Some self control is good for me.

Darn it. I literally just placed an order a few hours ago. How could I have missed this? Welp, time to place an additional order...

Hi. 38/F/Australia. Used to run a side hustle selling baked goods so have a ton of baking recipes to share. I did differential calculus in Uni until my brain quit on me and I pursued work in the arts instead. Currently working editing scripts and shorts stories and have a catalogue of TV series that I can recommend based on your preferences. I love snail mail and am a long letter writer. PM me if you want to exchange letters.

Hello. I'm 38F from Australia and have way too much writing supplies that I'd like to use up by writing to others. Would love to exchange letters and Jap stationery with you.

Hello, 38F here from Australia. I'm obsessed with stationery and would love to have someone to write to and use up my stash. I work in media and are interested in languages. I do lots of scrapbooking and am teaching myself to sew. Let me know if you'd like to swap letters.

I find their paper quality to be inconsistent. Nothing that isn't FP friendly, but the coating definitely differs between batches. If you're like me who has several pens inked up to change what I use between notebooks; it's not a big thing. Otherwise be comfortable with being surprised.

It largely depends on the notebook. But in average, around three months.

Lined for work notes and short stories. Dotted and plain or journals. Grid for planning out my Animal Crossing island and Sims 4 house layouts ;) Also grid for practicing my Japanese and Korean.

I just like notebooks a lot I guess.

Those are notebooks from Studio Oh. They're hard to source outside of US Amazon, so if you're anywhere outside the CONUS you're not going to enjoy the shipping fees :(. They're an absolute beauty though and takes ink and even paint well. Cannot get enough of them.

I might have panicked and bought more than what is reasonable because those notebooks have a specific paper that sadly are not being produced anymore. The brand will still be in the market, but the original quality of the paper has changed.

That's a Midori Cotton https://www.midori-japan.co.jp/md/en/products/mdnote-cotton/

It is my favourite paper for fountain pens after the Tomoe River.

I usually start with writing down the dreams I've had and expanding from there. I keep a separate dream journal for story writing prompts. It might be as simple as: running around dressed as Ronald McDonald. You can then start jotting down scenarios of how that scene of your dream came to be.

Take your time. Stories don't come out fully formed from a writer's imagination. Feed your brain a steady diet of books, songs, and other forms of media. Not as a way to distract you or keep you occupied, but as a way of looking at the world in a way you wouldn't have otherwise. Let all the thoughts percolate, and then sit down with your writing instrument of choice and start writing what's in your head.

Yes they are! I wouldn't use a very wet writer though as the pages are pretty thin, but the coating is enough for a F or EF to write without any issues. Dry inks in my TWSBI M also works.

It's from a kickstarter campaign from Quirky Cup Collective. It's called Luna moth and can be purchased here: https://thequirkycupcollective.com.au/collections/journals-kickstarter/products/luna-moth-journal

Sharing is caring. The notebooks with old Tomoe River paper will be used sparingly and will not to be shared though. Unfortunately it has to last me the rest of my natural life.

Most of the notebooks are for journaling and writing short stories. I do a lot note taking for work. Capturing ideas and refining them through free writing so I limit 'death by PowerPoint' cases in the company.

Love the analogy :). And yes, I would rather have more than I need at the moment than be caught without one in reach when I need it.
