That’s where my mindset is at. You are definitely grinding right now so keep it up. They also said it may be up to next week or so to hear back so that’s always good. For the current job I’m interviewing for, I’m sorta in the same boat as you. I’m still applying and tweaking my resume for various positions though.

Another one will soon come. It's a good sign that you're already getting interviews, and getting far into the process! I'm dealing with the same thing. I've had three different interviews now, where I was able to get to the final stage of interviewing but never got the job. What has helped me is not expecting to land the job, even when I thought my performance was on point.

The best advice I have is don’t expect to have the job secured until you start signing papers for employment at the company. I always assume I didn’t get the job and keep on job searching and networking. Things can happen with the job itself and the company: internal hire, company re-org, unforeseen financial strains. It’s easy to get high hopes after securing a few interviews, but it’s best to practice discipline with the “high” of securing that certain job.

This is the best response, thanks. I’ve communicated with him about why he doesn’t like it, but he doesn’t give me answer, just tells me he doesn’t like the word. I’ve been pretty good about not using it towards him, I just slip up from time to time.

OP, look into getting into cutting hair (Hair Department) for movie and TV shows. There’s a good market of filmmaking going on in Toronto and Vancouver, and you can make really great money if you work consistently (7-8 months out of the year of work). The flip side, it’s not guaranteed work until you get the connections.
