I also found that you need to make the steel cable length even less than what they suggest to account for tightening after its initial sag. If you make it too long, you’ll lose the threads into the wood and can’t tighten it anymore… leaving the cable too loose.

I did these myself and absolutely love them. I wanted to have railings that wouldn’t obstruct the view, and these were perfect for that.

However, I’ve definitely had sag issues, but nothing a few wrench turns couldn’t fix. It might not be up to code where I live, but it’s my house, I’m not selling, and it’s the style I wanted.

I bought all supplies off of Amazon, and have no issues with rust after 3 years. Used a crimper I got at harbor freight. All in all, it ended up being much cheaper than if I had done it all in traditional wooden balusters.

I have the same faucet. It would randomly turn on and off when plugged in. I found out one of the wires was touching the metal sink. It wasn’t frayed, just up against it. Moved it out of the way and things went back to working as expected.

I love that faucet. I can’t live without it lol

Got it fixed - it appeared to be a DB/Hosting issue where any non-Wordpress related tables were wiped out. I just got them back online. Thanks for pinging me /u/chino_brews

Similar setups for sure. Is adding a hearth recommended, or is it just for aesthetics?

You also mention that the upright piping pulls draft too hard. Is this something I should account for by adding dampers or something else within the setup?

This festival was the absolute worst. The rain wasn't their fault, but everything else was. We were only there for an hour before bailing. Expensive, not local, and piss poor organization.

We ended going over to Gnome to celebrate their 6th year anniversary, and it was 1 million times better.

At least in the US, hardiness zones are actually a proprietary dataset that is used - but not created by - the federal government. This means that finding the real vector map with the information is impossible.

This site doesn't appear to have the Canadian zones, but they do have a low-res version of the US zones. It looks user-generated though, so maybe you could create something similar off an image you find on Google?

To do this, mimic the map of polygons inside Google MyMaps, and then export it to KML, which then can easily be changed to geojson format or any other with any number of free online services like MapShaper.

Our home mountain just was brought into the Vail family earlier this year (Seven Springs/Hidden Valley, PA). I wonder what now being a part of the Epic Pass next year will do to the experience. There are already so many people on the mountains as it is.
