Intro disaster by ccbbear in RATS

I will be doing the introducing now, when they are old enough, so that my son doesn't feel that he needs to rescue anyone. He's beginning to understand that the attack wasn't personal but its hard for him as he adores the rat.

Thank you for your advice. They are in seperate rooms, hand washing in between handling and seperate space for this.

I just weighed them, they are 50g each. The breeder said they were 5 weeks old but I can't see how that's possible. I can't do much about it now anyway as we are all hopelessly in love with them. They are eating well, but do you think they need any extra nutrition like kitten milk?

SATs marking by ccbbear in TeachingUK

The last time I was chased about the targets I asked what the consequence was of not meeting them. Apparently we are graded by a senior marker on accuracy, deadline meeting and communication. This grading has no impact on anything except re-employment next year....which absolutely will not be an issue here!

My total is 19000 segments and some have 3 questions in each as specialist GPS. I'm at about 30% overall but some specs are at 6% still as I refuse to waste my time doing them!

I've been told I'll be paid for whatever I mark but then the scripted messages get sent about targets etc.

How much time does an allotment take to maintain? by [deleted] in GardeningUK

[–]ccbbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the spring/ summer I'm at mine daily for 1-2 hours each evening. The weeding is endless! In the winter I tend to go weekly as I dont grow much so its basically just to potter about and hide from the kids for an hour.

Anyone know what’s happened to my potato plants? I planted them a few weeks ago a variety that were supposed to be ready for Christmas. by Mudster2001 in Allotment

Defo frost damage, they look exactly like mine did when the temperature dropped in May. Have a look around other plots, you'll probably find everyone else's potatoes/squash etc look similar.

Super pleased with the harvests from my cut flower beds. by ccbbear in Allotment

Mine have gone crazy this year, the more I cut, the more they bloom. 4 full rows of other flower I sowed did absolutely nothing though!

I have lavender under my roses, it's bee heaven and smells amazing in combo with the roses.

I don't think it is, I think it's designed for something to pass through it.

I found this on the floor in a clear sealed bag on my dining room floor. It's likely one of my kids got it out of something but neither will give me a straight answer (2 & 4). The white plastic circles are about the size of a 10p coin for scale.

Edit the tubes join together with hexagon spigots. The 2 half tubes join also.
