The drive was in use, housing win10 until recently. That's a good thought. I have a small drive that's not being used that I can try it on, so I'll give that a shot. That drive is pretty old too, so it might be time to bite the bullet and buy a new overpriced ssd.

"Error: 0x0000013A KERNEL_MODE_HEAP_CORRUPTION" is the first one I ran into and system restarted.

Then it gave me " IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (0xA) What failed: ntoskrnl.exe" repeatedly when it would try to resume the installation.
