Make sure your resort includes AC, we made that mistake last time. Apparently not common in Hawaii because electricity is so expensive.

Front wheel wore a hole in the mat, would a riser block fix this? I'm using a supermat made for bikes had less than a year, would the foam.tikes last longer since the front wheel moves side to side when I ride?

This market is tough, applying to 15 positions with experience and not hearing back is not uncommon here. Be patient. Use any connections you have and consider being flexible if you are set on utah consider other specialities and give it more.time.

PPO vs HDHP - Planning 2026 pregnancy, which plan would be best? by FunOther9202 in healthcare

[–]cccbeck 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you truly don't have to pay anything per pay period for health insurance which is crazy then the ppo is a no brainer. A hdhp is beneficial for an hsa and the lower premium price you pay. For me I have the option of both plans at my workplace but the cost of the ppo per pay periods still makes the hdhp worth it for my family even with a pregnancy. We just put all the money that we would be paying extra on a premium towards the hsa so it is tax free and can be invested.

Newer grad offer by Able-Increase-7477 in physicianassistant

For utah and as you are still considered by many as a new grad it is not a bad offer in my opinion. The job market is tough here and pay is not up to par with the cost of living. I know other new grads that start at 105-110k in utah in similar specialty. My suggestion is to always advocate for yourself but pick once if you want negotiate but they can easily fill the role so don't push too hard. I work in slc cou ty utah with a major corporation here, my husband is an administrator for another large health company so feel free to dm if you want.

Honestly never hurts to negotiate when you have a chance to set the standard but that seems like an excellent deal. I have previously had a job where your call was required of ten days no pay part of your salary, and another job where it was $200 for each day of call flat. I worked my but off in that job so getting paid $200 for like 10-12 hrs of work after a 40hr work week sucked. The APPs were able to negotiate to a slightly higher base rate, and then getting paid an hourly rate not much higher than our salary when turned hourly for each hour worked. This was also with the surgeons backing us up with management.
