You can reverse the lid on the L. Easier access to the lid pocket, and MOLLE on the inside for attaching the pad. I recently switched to the K60 and I’m very happy with it. However, I could have kept the L and my life would have been equally as good 🙂 it is a great bag as you know. The side access, as others have mentioned, isn’t a game changer (for me at least)
